As most people have thankfully realised I wasn't being racist or generalising.
I was robbed two years ago on the promenade near Itaca by
BLACK AFRICAN WOMEN!
If they had been WHITE SCOUSERS! I would also have mentioned that fact but it wouldn't have been a general attack on all Liverpudlians.
This politically correct nonsence makes me mad!

I have never seen these aggressive women you refer to in 4 trips over 4 years. The only African women I've seen that weren't tourists were the ones offering hair braiding services. Again, there to make money not to rob you.

Yes, it is a blanket statement and possibly could have been formulated somewhat better, but certainly not untrue. Me and my friend have been accosted by those women on several occasions. The first time they did indeed gang up on us with 6-8 people. I'm not a small guy, so when I started to really get pissed off they got the point. The first time I was confused (their tactic) and actually gave them money. After that we made it clear never to even start by giving them your hand.

And as for black guys selling sunglasses: usually we get along great. They usually have a sense of humour. I don't mind people trying to rip me off by sweet-talking me, but I sure hate people trying to force me to give them money for nothing.
