paradise vs hyte

Any update on these two nights? Really want to see Maceo Plex and determined my gf sees Amnesia on her first visit to the island but not if the club is half full...so torn between this and MusicOn.

two different sounds here.

cant compare maceo's sound to carola's.

if u want the party vibe then music on is on fire this summer.

the two times i went to music on this summer it was like 97% attendance especially in the terrace no room to move or very slight movement

Certainly be interesting to see if Hyte can pick-up more numbers now that the tourists are all back at school/college, and the island has a higher concentration of underground techno clubbers.

Go see Maceo - your heart is set! :D The terrace will be perfectly busy for him. The comments regarding this night being "empty" concern the other room (mainly the club room) ie. whichever room the headliner is not.

Go to hyte with the 20€ guestlist b4 2am then buy tkt for music on here on spot
Friday evening outside borabora u can find wristbands..so go to glitterbox or insane then music on 5am till the end
How do I get on the guestlist for HYTE?

one feedback about paradise - a bit off-topic as this isn't about 'paradise vs hyte'.

it's actually more a 'paradise vs. circoloco' thing...
this is not my own opinion, much rather a feedback I've heard from various people lately. circoloco apparently pretty hit or miss musically lately and also by far not as packed as it used to be (this isn't a bad thing I think!). and paradise extremely busy every week and musically apparently really really good. as I said, it's not my own opinion. I actually haven't been to paradise at all this summer and also haven't been to circoloco for two months now, so I can't comment myself. but what I said various times before seems true, bit by bit paradise is catching up with circoloco. even the new l&d night might have something to do with this - you know, a few hundred people that normally would have gone on mondays (if TOU were to play) that now decided to go on fridays.

Just my two cents...

Circoloco line ups this year are always the same every monday...sometimes really poor

They lost maceo and tale of us played another day

Maybe ppl are looking for something different?

Looking at their instagram seems like that circoloco is becoming more posh than underground

Am I wrong?

Having not been to Circo a great many times, I'm perhaps ill positioned to comment. But from their roster of talent alone their musical direction is a lot more groovier, funkier than the minimal sound going back 5 years ago. And as Rometta points out they have lost star-talent in recent years, although their current crop of regulars is arguably the most underground it's ever been.

Is that what has made their numbers drops in a day where it's more important to boast to your mates about who you've seen when back home, as opposed to enjoy it in the moment for what is it?!

Could not agree with you more, i said this somewhere else possibly just to friends in real life and not forums haha, but Circoloco this year has not had strong lineups in my opinion of course. Not being a fan of Seth Troxler or Moudaber or their real mainstays it has just not been all that interesting. I remember being really impressed by a lineup back in mid June and really impressed by their lineup this upcoming Monday even without Carl Cox making it. As @stivi mentioned, musically especially on paper, Paradise is just killing the Circo lineups. I dont think there was one week I can think of without really looking I would've chosen Circo over Paradise if comparing the two and definitely not Hyte over Paradise putting aside the fact of how packed Paradise has been (I was only there for the opener this year and it was jammed but still amazing).

Glad we did CircoLoco and Paradise and the nights felt totally different which was my fear.

Paradise probably slightly quieter than I expected but not surprised with the Hyte line up. Pretty good English crowd though and space to dance was appreciated but main room thinned out a bit. Thought the line up flowed nicely, George Fitzgerald was decent before Guy Gerber. Jamie Jones was the best I've ever seen him, if one man knows how to rock that terrace its him. No weird just straight up bangers.

Chose Hyte over Paradise the week just gone (16th) and was so glad that we did, had a top night, both rooms were busy but had room to dance, and Syrossian/SC/Sante were in fine form, as was Loco Dice. Pan Pot great as well. Wasn't originally going to do Hyte but was put off by the numbers at DC10 on the Monday, didn't want a repeat on the Wednesday. Could literally hardly move on the Terrace at times at Circoloco, way oversold for me, couldn't even sway from side to side, was ridiculous.

I was at DC10 Monday too, and spent 11-4 on the terrace. Was busy, but did find if you persevered through to the far end bar there was quite a bit of space there compared to the other end. Exception was for Nina Kraviz & Tanzmann sets where we were in front of DJ box

I really like the look of Hyte next year. Pan pot have been playing who I've not seen on an Ibiza line up before (I'm no bible though). Experience is teaching me I prefer a more international crowd, so this could well get itself visited.
