Pacha's 2016 line-up

interspersed with members of their entourage coming out and pouring grey goose down the throats of clubbers who swarmed to them like goldfish, mouth open, hoping for it to be filled. I found that all very distasteful but the vast majority were having a ball.

I feel the same way about "champagne spray" parties - apart from a juvenile sexual analogy which has been "done to death", I really can't see the attraction in having all and sundry winding up covered in stale booze (let's face it Champagne sometimes goes in smooth but comes out rank and stinks horribly when spilt), let alone the pointless squandering which any time I see it makes me think of a sea of faces of African children with hungry bellies (will never be able to shake off the impact of 20 years in a developing country).

Having never been to Pacha what night you think I should do out of the following?

Pure Pacha
Martin Solveig
Insane with MK

I am over week of 13-20th June.

I would love to do flower power but as we are the late flight out of London Stansted which arrives 1.10 I think by the time I get to San Antonio and back it will be too late to enter Pacha.

Guetta is out the question. Do I need to explain why. Plus Solumun probably not my wife's taste.

what exactly is your wife's taste then?

To be fair I introduced her to dance music as I am old school trance and also Carl Cox fan. We are doing Coxy opening which she is ok with.

She is a classical trained pianist and not a traditional dance music fan.

She probably would like the mostly commercial stuff. Told her we ain't doing guetta

Also thinking of doing Retro opening party as more chance of getting in decent time of the back of the flight.

Solomun is the best party and completely makes Pacha come to life, no joke. It is a very unique club experience.

ok I'd maybe wait until full insane line ups are out to see who's playing alongside MK, but if she likes the more mainstream stuff she'll be happy with both pure pacha or martin solveig I guess.

Most birds don't mind a bit of MK, and Insane would be better than Solveig in my view. Solomun would be better though. I'd persuade her to go to that if I were you, his sets are quite accessible, he's nowhere near as hard as Coxy, and she's going to see him...

Shame you're not there for Luciano, would probably suit you both

We got Luciano at Coxy anyways. She only tolerates Carl Cox as she knows that he is my favourite Dj and I am obsessed with him

Personally, I would say insane without a doubt! It's less busy than most other nights (in a good way). Avoid pure pacha like the plague, it was my worst night last year! Haven't been to solveig but I'm sure someone else on here can give an opinion on that?!

Before you decide give solomuns boiler room mix a play , you might be both pleasantly surprised . His track selection is unbelievable . And if you haven't heard him before it might be a bit of you . And your girlfriend .

I am very aware of Solomuns sound and have been listening to him myself for the last 5 years. I am still trying to convince her to go to this night.

Totally agree with this. Solomun was packed out every night we went last year, this year will surely be close to Guetta level crush. Undoubtedly the best night at Pacha but hard to enjoy to the full till 5am when it starts to free up. If she ain't feeling the music you will be in for a miserable time - speaking from experience!!

Looking forward to Mosaic for this exact reason, great music and space to dance!

Just gutted it ain't one of the fanciulli dates. But looks like this or Solveig will be the best in terms of numbers.
