los calamares a la ibicenca: eivissenc squid
la borrida de ratjada: something with fish
cocas vegetales: cocas are a something that can be compared to pizza, it's a base with veggies and then onto the oven.
el suflé de calabaza con crema de queso de SantaGertrudis: pumpkin suffle with Sta Gertrudis' cheese cream
caracoles en salsa: snails on sauce
flaó: flaó  It's a traditional eivissenc dessert. I love it
buñuelos y macarrones de Sant Joan: St Joan's pancakes and macarroni
como la tartaleta criolla argentina: traditional argentina stuffed pastry dish
Bocadillos de lomo del Pineo: Lomo Sandwich (lomo is a kind of cold cut)
Matambre de Ternera Vitel: a kind of beef meat cut :?

More or less

Caracoles en salsa for me please:D

silvia, i forget to say that we had a guided tour of los caracoles last wednesday. i had been telling lexy about it and she was enchanted by the chickens roasting on the corner outside.

as we peered through the window and i tried to explain what is was like inside, a friendly camerero asked us if we were ok and then after i explained, he gave us a quick tour and a cup of gazpacho.

:D :D :D

es buena, muy muy buena. you have to walk through the working kitchen to get to your table and inside it is like something out of the 16th century. can just imagine henry VIII (o felipe II) having a banquet in there.

I have to be less prejudice and give it a go

yes, it's fish as the recipe shows however i would never replace saffron with colouring as that recipe has done.

I was surprised with it, you said saffron and they say colouring. Same with paella, saffron is not only mean to give a yellow colour to the food :?

BTW, I like ratjada but I think it's the most annoying fish to eat with so many fishbones
