From someone who lived through, and actually worked at the Sydney games - it was a really amazing experience.. everyone wore a smile on their faces, parties every night, vast improvements to local infrastructure, 24 hour entertainment, it was just amazing.. so I hope my new home gets the games too :D

I was there for 3 weeks, it was amazing !!!! I also went to last years 8O and it was horrendous in comparison.

I don't think anyone will get near Sydney, it was run like clockwork and the facilities were unbelievable.

I was working for IBM at the time and the only technical problem we had was someone turning off one of the Press Office Kiosks by accident. Plus the weather was perfect for 2 weeks! 8)

I was there to see my sister in law swim. That was good , altho she got ill and did crap. But the highlights (theres too many to list) have to be the womens beach volleyball on bondi  Lunching it in Darling harbour, and getting the ferry from manley. The view as the ferry came round the corner, the opera house and the bridge were an awesome sight, especially in the flesh.
Memories i shall never forget :D

We also went upto Cairns for some diving and doing the sights, fantastic country.
