ps. Rob - hope you've reduced your offer this time. Seller (presuming it is a private sale and not a property investor) has had (at least) one sale fall through - he's going to want to get shot of it. Is there anyone living there? If not and it's costing money while sat empty, the longer before he sells, the weaker his position......
The estate agent is a complete shark and pushed me into a corner so I've no choice on that one unfortunately.
...there's no way I can cope with them showing it to anyone else after all.
Daft as it sounds, I'm just at the stage where I want to push the whole thing through now.
Have I got a bargain? In some ways but it's not going for a song.

Despite my capitalist pigdog tendencies, the advice I gave a friend in a similar position recently was that if somewhere really is your dream home and you know it'll make your life better, you're really not gonna notice the extra, say £10K, over the 20/25 yrs of your mortgage term, so just do it. It smarts to think someone's squeezed you for a few grand but what price happiness?
Which song by the way? If it was going for anything by former Eastender 'actor' Sean Maguire it'd be cheap as chips.
My thoughts exactly - and what with the 2012 olympics and East London etc what's a couple of grand here and there???
(However, the Mayan calendar finishes in 2012 along with Nostradamus end of the world predictions coinciding American Indian/Aboriginal philosophies so maybe I should just say fook it and go round the world with my equity instead?)
