WELL IT'S BACK ON THE MARKET AND I'VE PUT AN OFFER IN!

It's far too exciting because that really was my dream home.

 I should really learn from experience and not get excited though eh? :?

Expect a potential gazumpy post again soon. ;)

I hope it's not me that attracts all this stuff! I'd hate to be known as a drama queen.

...But then again I do remember throwing p___s around and going into blind panic at Jamie's that time so I've probably been type casted for life.

I reckon the guy who gazumped you probably couldn't get a mortgage, didn't you mention that hardly any companies will lend on it? Good luck though!

I think you thrive on a good drama or p____a______ 8O

In the midst of all these domestic crises in your life can I assume that you're still coming to Rampling on Saturday

Of course!!!

I'll be rocking up at about 2am - probably with a very cross look on my face having had to wait in an equatorial queue.

Looking forward to seeing you in there! ;) Christ it's been a while...I've probably aged about ten years with all the sh*t I've had thrown at me.

I feel like being exceptionally minxy don't you, can we play the 'throwing game'

Have you got Monday off work??

The question that is burning in my mind is when is Britain going to join the civilized world and change the rules so that "gazumping" no longer exists. I had never heard of the word until a few years ago and was shocked that such a practice even existed. Truly uncivilized.
Now in the civilized world (ie France or the US), once you put in a bid for a house/apartment and the seller accepts it, there is no way s/he can back out unless of course you are unable to procure the financing necessary.
In France for instance, the buyer can put a clause into the contract stipulating that it is subject to obtaining financing at x% rate. If s/he doesn't get it, s/he gets out of the contract and the 10% downpayment back. The seller however cannot get out of it and even if s/he dies during the escrow period, his/her successors are legally bound to sell to you.
That is civilized!

Funk that, give me uncivilisation if being civilised means living in France or America
Without going into the inherent offensiveness of either yours or Tycoon's posts, it does seem as though the UK could do something about this gazumping thing. Creates uncertainty in the market.

It is annoying...not the UK though, only England and Wales, not allowed in Scotland! :?
