Ere buckers, I drove down Tib St on Saturday morning and parked in Church St car park, had a quick look for Micks, but couldnt see it, was it that side of Tib st? ie near Bar Centro et al?? ;)

Saw them in Sheffield about 10 years ago and they were rubbish. Totally blown off the stage by Pulp in my opinion (who were supporting). Mind you I had started to really go off Oasis by then and now I think they are utter crap and are so desperate to be the Beatles it hurts.

Still, have a good time!

I replied to this already - where did it go?

Ah well, on the left as you go away from town, about half way up.

Why the rolling eyes JJ?

Not those songs perhaps but some of the others. And Oasis certainly have their fair share of weak songs. Imagine a sound system which is loud as buggery but with excellent detail, DC10 for example. Now imagine it turned up so loud so it's just a distorted mess just for the sake of being loud. That was the difference and there was no way you would have been able to tell what Oasis were playing had you not known their songs beforehand and could kind of work out what notes were being thrashed out.

So to be fair they were crap because a) the pa was to high for them, and b) they're such an arrogant bunch of shits I can't stand to even look at them!

<deep breaths>

I was at Loch Lomond in 96, Newcastle in 97 and went to see them for the third and final time at Hampden this year. I had a great time, but the band don't do it for me anymore. Their new album whilst being better than their last few efforts, is still pretty mediocre (and i was a superfan believe me!). I think I identified with Oasis when they were writing songs pre-fame, or even Morning Glory. Now I don't even know what they are on about half the time!

Same with me really. I still think their first album is a classic but since Morning Glory they've gone further downhill to me even covering their own past songs it seems to me. To be honest I forget they're around most of the time.

I can always relate to Noel's lyrics and put them in the context of my life and maybe thats why they'll always be my favourite band. and you cant beat their attitude, first class.

Pair of snakes who went for Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing to rip every penny they could from the people who made them. The music soundtracks some memories, but glad I didn't waste any time on Saturday and wouldn't go to see them for free now.

Liam more disappointing the more you think about it. Noel's always been a Tory at heart, but always felt Liam was more a man of the people, despite displaying the same idiot tendencies we all might given too much fame and money.

For me , there are a lot of bands at this times who were before oasis. The Jam , Pulp , Stone Rose , Charlatans and so on. Didnt understand the hype at any time. Ok , dont look back in anger was a pretty little song , but ...

I managed to get the presale ballot tickets on the Friday for Wembley.

Luckily at face value too, they were roughly what I was prepared to pay, glad I didn't pay the inflated prices though.
