2nd July - 9th July
This was my 4th time I have been to Ibiza and the 4th time I have stayed in the Ibiza Mar in San An Bay as the hotel is cheap and all you really need in ibiza.... A fridge and beds!
This year was the first time we only went to one club (Eden) as the people I was travelling with are more commercial and would probably choose Soul City than a big Ibiza club. On our first day we arrived at the hotel at about 10am so stocked up on beer and lazed about by the pool til about 6 where we headed to Sun Sea Bar to watch the Sunset. It was a little expensive for the cocktails but alot less crowded and more comfortable than the Mambo lot. Is it just me that thinks Mambo is so overrated??
After Sunset we got a taxi to Underground just to see what the place was like. It was nice being the only English in the venue and good music although we spent most the time sat out in the terrace chatting and drinking.
On Saturday we went to Mondo Loco at eden and the Music was spot on, Even the people I was with who are more into the commercial stuff carried on dancing (Without drugs aswell!!) The only bad point on the night was when they turn the foam on which makes the place stink and every left a packed dance floor.
Sunday daytime we hired out a little boat for 5 hours and took a cool box of beer on board. Even though the boat only has a small slow engine its still a good way to kill off the day whilst still drinking and catching some rays. (It is also a good way to chat up birds on lilo's and pedalos as we ride up offering a boat beer service8))
In the evening we headed to BN3 for Judgement warm up then off to Eden for JS.
After JS everyone was a bit low on cash so it was mainly just bars for the rest of the holiday. Most our nights were spent drinking cocktails in Bay Bar apart from 1 night where one of the dancers rope snapped and she fell 30 ft onto concrete, it wasn't a nice site and put our night on a bit of a downer tbf. We did however hear she was ok.
I would have liked to gone to Carl Cox opening party but I was the only one who could really afford it.
As a whole Ibiza did seem alot quieter than usual with the West End looking more like early June numbers than July.
The other highlight of the holiday was our Cock Shaped swimming pool
Bring on Ibiza 2010!
