It's usually spring here by the time I go to Ibiza so I would have been gradually thawed to the point that the trip does not constitute a shock to the system. :lol:

(plus I avoid Russian saunas, or banya, because I can't deal with sitting naked in a room full of naked people :lol: )

IG - Nude beaches do freak me out a bit.. admitted. I'd attribute it to the modest suburban middle class baptist upbringing complete with complexes about nakedness. (oh, and it really gets annoying when everyone stares ;))

Are there completely nude beaches in Ibiza or just topless? In NY I go to a completely nude beach but it is only 1 area and that's it. Not too many people go topless either in the U.S. I do though. It's funny cause last time I went to Ibiza we went on this boat cruise thingy, and I decided to go topless. (there were other women topless as well) My friends were like freaking out about it, they couldn't believe that I would do such a thing. I thinks its no big deal, but us Americans are way to uptight!

Very true... Having grown up in the States, I still have to remind myself that topless beaches are perfectly normal on the first day or two of vacation :lol: (Russians are the same, by the way). Nude beaches still make me squirm a bit though... it's not the women so much as other guys dangling their bits around :lol:
 
For comparison, the only completely naked creatures on the beaches of Goa (my current location) are the cows.

Posing pouches are disturbingly popular, women apparently aren't s'posed to go topless but do anyway on the beach close to our guest house.

Indian guys usually wander up and down wearing trousers staring unsubtly. Indian women wear long skirts and sell fruit or beach apparel.

I'm a bit jealous, though word of the exploits of some friends who just returned from Goa earlier this month has slightly cooled my desire to visit the Indian province.

As for the weather, we're now a balmy -6C so my only complaints are the wind and snow.
