LOL - spot the tropical island dweller's response to "what one item would you take ?"

When I lived in Africa we never managed to travel anywhere with less than 40kgs checked luggage and took a ridiculous amount of "katundu" (local word for stuff/clobber/personal "chattels" - if you were local to include cooking pot, by custom carried by the women) around. You never knew when you might get stranded for days on end with no home comforts to speak of needing to set up a temporary home and avoid food-borne diseases !!

It seems ridiculous now but I still end up screaming at my case every time I try to travel on handluggage.
