Music On..

Haha so lucky that you can say you'll try it again soon! Hopefully it's up to scratch by the time I get over in September!

I thought the crowd was pretty good. Im also from America so im used to pretty horrible crowds. Nothing special, but didn't find it annoying or any attitudes. Was pretty packed on the terrace but still could find room to dance along the edges. Also, a lot of hot women.

I think the best crowd of the week for me goes to Sankeys last night. Gotta love the Brits, a lot of smiles and dancing.

My over-riding impression of one experience of the night last year was a testy bargey jostling extravaganza with the unmistakable atmosphere that comes about when a few too many 'g's of coke have been boshed - by both sexes. I know Music On has a following but the crowd killed it for me unfortunately. Glad to hear the music was fine - got bored quickly and it didn't improve when I went. Throw in Amnesia prices and drinking away disappointment and sensitivities became a pretty pricey route through - which ultimately still didn't work ! It's a real shame when what ought to be a great night just makes you want to go home to bed - and that's what my Music On experiment did to me !

Damn, this is disappointing to hear!! Was all lined up to go to this next Friday but now i'm having second thoughts! Not really much alternatives on Fridays though.

Anyone else found it like this?

How does it compare to a Cocoon crowd?

i'll go again tonight (ridiculously good line up on the terrace i must admit, tini, bill patrick, loco dice and of course carola) so I might report back differently. as I said maybe it was just me.

the crowd at cocoon just seems more relaxed nowadays which is refreshing.

Would be very interested to hear what you think of tonight!! I am seriously gutted & jealous I am there next week instead of this week - that line up is mental! I would go regardless!

Last time I went to Music ON. was the end of August last year, so FULL ON Italians everywhere. Let's not make country generalisations, but I too have always found the crowd at Music ON (went 3 times last year) to be more coked up than MDMA'ed up.... and that does = a more hardcore less safe feeling. But again maybe its just me too! However, the Music and Marco are of course off the scale...

At the airport now and the idea for tonight is to head to music on see how that works! Agreed lineup is immense!
 
by the way, i went to music on yesterday and had definitely a better night than the week before. amnesia was really busy (no wonder with this line up) and the vibe was pretty decent I thought.

dice & carola going back to back for 6 and a half hours was niiice (music stopped at 9:30 this morning)
