Music On..

by the way, i went to music on yesterday and had definitely a better night than the week before. amnesia was really busy (no wonder with this line up) and the vibe was pretty decent I thought.

dice & carola going back to back for 6 and a half hours was niiice (music stopped at 9:30 this morning)

Is it me or are the parties starting earlier this year and ending later?

i don't think they start earlier, but it seems it's not such a problem anymore to go past official closing time which is GREAT!! :D

Seems that some of the beach bars/clubs have the music pumping before the official time. Most people are still in recovery mode, but still.

Having parties go to 9am ain't too shabby either, that's pretty much after hours as it is. But I think the island should allow one day of 24hr partying a week.

This is good to hear, I think i'm gonna give it a go this Friday. If the terrace is rammed I can always retreat to the main room as i'm interested to see Stacey Pullen anyway. Hoping they stay open till 9:30am also but I guess this might have been due to carola and dice going b2b?

Can I ask how much you paid to get in please? I am struggling to find any prices online.

Cheers!

topbeef, music on has regularly been going past 8am this season so far.

you're struggling because no prices are out yet. june dates were 45€. i guess they'll be 50€ for july, but keep checking our party calendar, I think we should have prices by tonight or latest tomorrow.

alright correction to the above - we just got prices for july

5th july 45€
12th july 45€
19th july 50€
26th july 50€

i'll put tickets on sale now, should be live within the hour.

change of prices, july dates 5€ cheaper

40€ for 5th and 12th july
45€ for 19th and 26th july

people who already bought will automatically get the difference refunded of course.

Last time I went to Music ON. was the end of August last year, so FULL ON Italians everywhere. Let's not make country generalisations, but I too have always found the crowd at Music ON (went 3 times last year) to be more coked up than MDMA'ed up.... and that does = a more hardcore less safe feeling. But again maybe its just me too! However, the Music and Marco are of course off the scale...

What does "less safe feeling" entail? I'll be on the island at a similar time this year and was thinking of checking this out since I like Carola, but a club that's too crowded with a lot of people looking for trouble always ruins a night especially when going with a significant other instead of just friends...

Also, how would the crowd/vibe compare to Insane which is the other Friday option?

well look, music on will be simply very crowded on the terrace where marco plays. and the crowd is very italian and spanish, but not only. and it's a party people tend to go pretty wild. insane in comparison will be a more mixed crowd. both nights are good.

Ok, im just not looking to go somewhere thats going to make me feel uneasy, I have no other insight into the party except what others have reviewed...

Have you heard of anyone having problems at Music On due to the crowd? Like fights or getting things stolen? Just nervous cause I only have 3 nights on the island and I want to make each one count!

Basically what we are trying to say is that the Music ON Terrace is basically full of a bunch of absolutely crazy wild Italian / Spanish, drunk, drugged up wild party mad people that have probably been out all night at ENTER before and will carry on until Tuesday morning!

If this is your thing (and many on here claim this is the real Ibiza) then absolutely go for it. The MUSIC is obviously amazing. Just don't expect lots of pretty girls sipping Champagne. Expect a full ON party...

Insane is obviously not going to be full of the above, but expect absolutely spot-on techno / tech-house music in a more elegant setting. To me at the moment, this is Pacha's best night in terms of music, clued up music crowd (well maybe WOTG edges it), and a good Friday atmosphere. Being Pacha you will obviously get some Blazer and Chino types, but post 4AM the crowd is totally there for the music....

Bro there are no fights and nothing will get stolen...this is fraggin Ibiza for god sakes. But the Italians tend to have some egos so you might get bumped into without an apology. Its one of the best parties in the world, you're making this too confusing.

Thinking about doing Music On actually, this year (yes... A Trance head doing a none Trance party!). Anyone whose been, would you recommend it?

not speaking about music on, but rather for this summer generally - girls be extremely careful with your handbags. unfortunately, pickpockets are out in full force. no matter what club, if you're a girl and if they see you have a smartphone, you're their prey. it's really bad this year I must say.

Thanks, this is good advice and I think its true for any major club, but always good to be reminded.

I think I'll give Music On a shot then since the crowd is more intense but not necessarily looking for fights or something (that really kills a vibe!). I've also heard Marco brings out a lot of really attractive women to his parties!

I saw marco close out a festival last summer and his set was ridiculous, but my friend said I should expect the same kind of set from him at Music On, that it would be more 'flat' than his festival sets? Can anyone speak to this?

last year he played at amnesia afterparty @ la plage and was absolutely boring...went out very early cause you really couldn't dance

but it was an after so if you go to music on you'll find another situation

I think best years of marco carola were 2005 to 2008 went to meganite 2 times and listened him 8hrs at amnesia closing 2007 and about 10 more times here and he never disappointed

was just as boring w/Capriati & Carola in the club when I went last year - absolutely nothing moved me to dance for more than a few minutes. To be 100% honest if I was with a "significant other" I'd go to Pacha over this. A hardcore crowd is one thing but a bunch of agitato roidy shovey coked up morons and a few bewildered tourists .... not exactly what I'd want for clubbing companions whoever is behind the decks. My one over-riding memory of that night was looking around and not seeing a single smiling face in the entire club. Can only hope OP gets a better experience.
