Music On 2017

The Music On pre-party situation is a bit embarrassing tbh. Just another indication they are all about the money.. i mean, music (!)

Could quite easily have had a soft-opening on May 19th and then skipped 26th and had the Opening proper on 2nd June.

Depending on your stance, you might think that Carola is the best thing about the party, or the worst. But make no-mistake, Music On is about him and nobody else. Without him it's very faceless. Apollonia are great, don't get me wrong. As are Paco, Faroane, Moudaber etc. But does anybody genuinely believe they could front a successful party themselves? No chance.

However... in contrast to the above, Carola at Amnesia Opening in-and-of itself is a really good thing imo. When was the last time he (or Sven) played the Opening/Closing?

It is a curious decision nevertheless. Was he already booked/unavailable for the 26th?

If they book Capriati for 26th then I'll eat my words and retract that last post.

I've no idea if the hatchet has been buried. It's probably pie in the sky
 
stivi - any sense of how late this will go this season? sticking to 630AM like last year or pushing? only reason i ask is i'm likely attending a friday night with a flight out that next morning so trying to figure out when i should book the flight for. gracias :)

my current guess it that they won't be able to have a much later curfew than 7am during the season. it's hard to predict now, but I for one can't see a return to the 10am saturday morning finale on a normal music on friday.

Since cocoon is loved by all and it's a Tuesday morning can the opening be expected to go on much longer than that? (I realise it's the club rather than the party that has to abide by rules though, just asking in hope haha)

honestly not sure. especially at the start of the season they always have to play by the books whereas towards closing they can let loose.
we shall see.
 
@stivi this might be your bag but does anyone know if Music On will be selling the balcony tickets separately this year - if at all? Or is that saved for people who buy tables?

the only two events you can get the balcony tickets for are cream and together, I checked this with amnesia the other day.

correct. but I have a feeling music on (as well as other nights) *might* not be that jam-packed this year. but that's probably something for the gossip thread.
