Looking forward to seeing who he brings to the Funky/Prism Room this year, as that had by far the more interesting line-ups last year.

Any indication if the line-ups will be as good / different as last year? With no Cox (apart from a few) this night should hopefully take off this year.

I honestly have no inside scoop on this just yet. I'm sure they'll be good though. I'd think mosaic should be able to build on last year's numbers (and improve), but the competition won't be much smaller than last year tbh. if you think about it...privilege will do tuesdays this year (last year they had the paint party - hardly any competition) and then there's hï which also will have a pretty strong tuesday from what I've heard (plus they've got the 'new' factor, just as ushuaïa did in their first few years). it's not gonna get much easier for maceo, but I really hope he'll do well. I'm personally not so fond of maceo these days, but everyone else he brought along last year - respect.

Was it busy enough (to be decent)? How was crowd when people like Len Faki were playing?

I wasn't there when len played, but generally it was a bit of an up and down with the prism room, sometimes busy, sometimes not so much. but running and programming the room in that way got the party a lot of street cred, which is hugely important to help building a loyal fanbase on the island.

definitely going to be interesting to see mosaic line ups for this summer. and the rest of tuesday night parties too for that matter :)

I've never been a fan of Maceo as a dj, but i have enjoyed a few of his productions, but I dont know how you couldn't respect the lineups he brought last year. They were definitely something different and especially atypical for Pacha. I think someone like Len Faki works great as long as you dont expect to go there and here him belt out techno because that for the most part just isn't going to happen (maybe it might for a track or two building up to Maceo but Im not sure). As it may seem funny, I would likely go for the supporting cast and heading out during Maceo's set as I've done at many parties before with great cast and just not my favorite headliner.

Can Len Faki do anything other than bang it out???

Not dissing him in any way. But his repertoire has all the subtly of a sledgehammer.

Plz link me as I'm interested in hearing him do something different

just asked my gf who was there that night when len faki played and apparently he was banging it out in fact.

 Even better, suppose Maceo had to bring some heat that night

Totally understand that notion but he can ease up at times. I've seen him do some pretty long extended sets for Blk Market in new york and play of the lighter techno variety for 1 hour + as the sun came up. He also played a little more melodic'ish at ADE this past October for his last 45 - 1 hour but then again Rodhad was following him.

I was there when Len was and it was a fast paced set. Maceo had an atmospheric intro after and then proceeded to pick up where Len did. He didn't quite have the same pace but still tried to match it.

I liked the atmosphere of the prism room, especially since I discovered it that night. But I know a major DJ who didn't like playing there (he told me personally).

What were they expecting 1,000 people in the room?

I didn't ask him for specifics, but as stivi said, the prism room wasn't too busy at times and I'm suspecting that's why said DJ didn't like it.

I saw Jennifer Cordini there and it was great dark techno set. It also became an unofficial place where you could smoke as well (she was smoking too, which was the green light for all of us lol). Good sized crowd for her set...It was honestly a type of sound I didn't hear before, much different type of techno.

In fact, the whole night was filled with such different sounds which truly was different from other events on the island. I loved the trippy costumes the dancers wore as well...They really should consider upping the ante on the trippines of this night with more strange looking performers, I'd totally be about it
