Money

How much money do people take with them?
how much would u recommend to take for 2 weeks there?

i want an idea of money to save, as i dont want to go and find i dont have enough to do everything i want to

Depends what activities you'll be doing when you're there.

Is it a clubbing holiday or a chilled affair?

Was there for 2 weeks last year and managed to spend £1400 but some of the people I was with did it for half that amount...

and I don't know how or the logic behind it but it always seems cheaper for couples!!

however much you take it won't be enough. Take as much as you can + some credit cards so you'll always be ok.

i'd budget for 200 euro's a day minimum, but i know people who live on less than half that.

Really depends how you do it.

i.e-are you just going to be eating at your own place, drinking a carry out, then not drinking much more when your out?

OR

-eating out at nice restaurants, drinking in expensive bars, and spending loads when your out.

I've done it on £800 before for 2 weeks (didnt really eat though :? )

However, you could easily spend £2000 quite easily

And why not!!

I thoroughly agree Drew. I have to limit it slightly though due to a student budget ;)

Didnt stop me having 4 holidays last year though ;)

As has been said, it really depends.

If you're wanting to go out clubbing nearly every night, bearing in mind it costs up to 50 euros for entry and then up to 8 euros for water and over 10 euros for other drinks, it can get very pricey.

However, if you're just wanting to go out about 3-4 times in your two weeks, don't drink alcohol much when you're out and will spend quite a lot of your time just chilling, then it will be a lot less. I got by on about £600 (a went as couple and it does seem to save you money!) and we went out 4 times, had loads of lovely meals, drank plenty, explored the place...

My Mum has just bought my brother and I one. Still getting built just now ;)

Just been in France skiing to...its a hard life

We had 4 hols and put down a massive deposit 8O on our penthouse.

Might go to New York or south of France for a long weekend soon, then Ibiza and maybe Barcelona again for NYE. Quiet year for us!

I strongly believe you should make the most of life, and just enjoy yourself.

After all, you're only young once!

Any closer to your moving in date yet? We have a meeting next week to discuss some details of fittings etc (quite excited ;) )

Think we're trying for a week in Ibiza in the summer, and really fancy New York round Christmas time. Wanted to do it last year, but was only 20, so that would have been a problem with nightlife :?

About a month to go now.

Called on site (which is also home) this morning and they're putting a door on so i won't be able to check things at night now

Having said that, all the flooring, furniture, plasma tv are sorted as well as the company doing the en-suite so i think i'll just forget about it until nearer the time.

Oops, we've totally hijacked this thread

Oops, just realised that to

Wish I was moving in a month. Either August or September we think now...will be worth it though. Right in the centre of Aberdeen, so I'm going to save a fortune on taxis.

Not in a desparate hurry cos we're renting a smaller place downstairs which is AMAZING!! Just don't like renting, obviously cos it's dead money and we can't really put our own stamp on it :(
