Milan v Man U

ok i'm being pedantic......... cos i'm sure the milan fans do say forza milano.

but the name of the team is milan (there is a story) although the name of the city is milano. ask your mate the reason why!;)

Il say your being bloody pedantic

they were founded by englishmen (a bit like FCB) so the anglicised version of the club name has stuck;)

Really? Interesting that... I heard a while ago that the first football team in Russia was founded by some English factory workers at a small town outside Moscow.

You people really get around, don't you!?

england's not called the home of football for nothing.

altho in this case, "the country that gave the game to the world" is the more appropriate and oft-used quote.

anyway, fcuk patriotism................forza milan!

ba$tards! altho, i suppose it doesn't take a genius to know that he wasn't gonna be at home.....

neevr seen rafa so happy as last night. proper smiling and stuff after the game, he'd never admit it but i think the whole jose-rafa show hurt him. he'd rather just do the football bit.

yep the juve story is true too.............don't they still play games against each other periodically.

so all in all, italy has strong historical links with the english game, bet they were gutted when watford stitched them right up with luther blisset instead of digger:D :D

John Digweed played for Juve??

btw I was misinformed, was pep reina notr rafa

No excuses United were dire tonight, they needed a big performance and just did not play well whatsoever, at this level you cannot expect to play like that and get away with it, Celtic onl;y lost 1-0 against Milan and were robbed of a cast iron penalty, they are good at home but i believe United showed them too much respect, pity a United v Liverpool final would've been amazing.:?

I suppose City fans are laughing tonight, but then again United fans would laugh at them constantly seen as City haven't won a trophy in almost 3 decades

Aye but we know we're rubbish. It's amusing how so many (including yourself) assumed it was a dead cert you were making the finals with many already booking their flights to Athens. Ladyboy the best player in the world? Hmmm.

Some 'fans' on Radio5 Live are saying Ferguson should go too!

I NEVER assumed it was a dead cert whatsoever, id never be so stupid to do that against a team like Milan, i did say i thought United would go through but i never assumed it was a dead cert.

If you're talking about Ronaldo (ladyboy), well he is one of the best players in the world after this season.

And any United fan who says Ferguson should go needs their head examined.8O

Good player yes, however he's a diving, fall to the floor cheat.

In fact, now you mention it, look at some of the 'greats' of the past:

Maradona
Rivaldo
Klinsmann

Yup, Cristiano qualifies alright.....

exactly I read on 606 even at 2 nil down the man u fans were saying they'd get the two goals back easy in the second half and then thrash Liverpool in the final! Oh the arrogance of some is just8O:oops: 8O 8O 8O

I'm sure there was someone on here telling us a couple of weeks ago after the Roma game that Man U would win it!

Of course he has a long way to go before he can be as good as those players but if he keeps going the way he does he will be.
