........i,ve opened a can of worms here i think.....gotta say i,ve been put off by some of the posts i,ve read.....prob gonna give it a miss now....i only wanted to go because i found a hotel with a free bar between 6pm and 10 pm........shallow ?....me ?.....

Crystal, I´ve been in the music/radiobusiness for 10 years....decided to take another kind of job last month to supply my income with as the musicbus´has seen better days when it comes to economics.....I have my own firm that specialises in helping the recordcompanies/publishers develope new material/artists......

yeah probably, but I´ve never seen that side of the US. Been to L.A - Hated every god darn minute of it, went to N.Y and everytiem I went something bad happened (sept 11th, 2001) - so nect time I would actually like to enjoy my USA stay!

Been there twice for 3 to 4 days at the most.........and let me tell you, that is quite enough.
That town is MAD!

Sin city is hardly enough words for Las Vegas, that town gets me in trouble.........which i do all too well own my own

Hehe I know Crystal, lots of friends and family have been there and they say you go bonkers after only 2 days, the constant noise and music and totally wacked people!!! but it´s amazing for a short period of time, then you´re all: let me see something authentic and REAL!!!

I'm from Los Angeles and it's okay. It's not Miami and not New York, or San Francisco for that matter. And certainly not like Las Vegas. But I went to Ibiza for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE AND LOVED IT!!!
Now, I went to the WMC this past march and loved it too. Yeah it's an industry thing, but if you don't get caught up in that you can catch some really cool parties. I went to the subliminal party for example and it only cost $25. There were some other cool parties going on during the day at hotels that were free!! We went to a great party at Nikki Beach that had Lisa Shaw singing live and other great DJ's from 2pm-2am...AND IT WAS FREE!!! Yes you'll pay up to $40 for a party, but you can buy tix in advance for $25-$30. And there are plenty of free pool parties going on during the day. Some parties cost $15-$20 as well. We saw MAW dj and perform with a live band for $25!! And this started at 4pm. I know many people on this board have commented they didn't like it, but if you're from the UK I would recommend it. At least once! I'm going back next year and for sure Ibiza as well!!! Just my thoughts. I think Ibiza is more expensive, although better, but you won't pay 13 euro($15) in a club. A red bull/vodka is going to cost you around $6-$8 in Miami.

Miami is definitely something anyone from europe would enjoy.
Nikki Beach......I mean damn! Is that not one of the coolest clubs/beaches/bar you have ever been to?
Nothing compares to Nikki beach.....
But where i will disagree with you is one the prices?
What club did you go to that the drinks were only $6 to $8 dollars?
Nikki beach is definitely not that cheap.
Tantra is definitely not that cheap.
Mint is no where near that cheap.
The list goes on and on.
When I was there last.....July 2003, the drinks were about $10 -$14 dollars a pop.
On the other hand.....it is cheaper because the clubs don't cost as much to get in......BUT...........the catch with that is CAN you get in.

hey crystal...you went in july and you paid that much for drinks?? damn i guess they went up a bit. i could of sworn i paid about $8 for a mixed drink. then again...we'd drink in our hotel room before we'd go out and just buy 1-2 drinks to keep us feeling good.
but i never had trouble getting in the clubs. the only thing is you have to arrive early to them. everyone kept telling me when i went in march to arrive early or it would be impossible to get in. But yes Nikki Beach....DAMN!!! That place rocks! I went to Miami last December just for fun and that club was rocking on Sunday night! By the way those are nice pic's of you...you single???
