its a big cheese festival but lots of fun, i normally go. i swore i wouldnt next time but we got free tickets so....why not? :D

 you got free tickets because you put in effort to get free tickets by phoning them up!

you aren't going just because free tickets landed on your doormat! ;)

Was much better back in the late 90's than it is now. Have been every year but the past couple have been a bit of a let down  .

Giving it a miss the year and will go to Pacha for Release Yourself instead.

Always enjoyed myself in the Coco Loco bar though :D

Agree its a must if you have never been.

well honestly I am, we were planning to go to Sanchez but decided not to anyway, as we are heading to Pacha AND armada the night after so....

lee i partially agree, but you make your own party right?

yeah agree with you 8) if there was nowhere else to go then fair enough but would rather make my own party somewhere else rather than paying alot of money to go to mannumission

When I went to Manumission a couple of years ago a french man randomly came up and asked me if he could suck my toes. When I said 'no' (obviously) he decided to shout at me saying I must be racist because 'all English hate the French'.

Now don't let this taint your view of Manumission that was an isolated case (or maybe not?), I just found it amusing to regale it here! Other than that yeah it's massive and sweaty but you've got to experience at least once I'd say!!

LMFAO!!!

That same trip, an Italian attached himself to my face and felt he could thus invite himself to stay with me in England 'indefinitely'. And again ON THE SAME TRIP 6 thirty somethings (English this time) invited me back to theirs for 'some fun'. Maybe it was something in my perfume...?

I have some friends living in St Kilda right now Mr Disco.. you must know them, blonde and a brunette, Englsih female?! ;)

The funniest thing I've seen at Manumission was when a gay guy dressed as a police officer handcuffed himself to a fit straight friend of mine and refused to unlock them for ages!! We were laughing so much we couldn't help him, so he just had to dance while cuffed!

The Mish is good fun, I don't go anymore because we prefer June and it starts too late in the summer, but it's always a good night. The main room is all about the show, and if you've seen the show once you've seen it a thousand times, but the two wee rooms have some great music going off in them and are spectacularly messy come 7 in the morning! On our first visit we stayed until 9:30, by which time only the candy box was still open. There's also a great vibe outside on the terrace, only very quiet music, but loads of people just sitting about, having a drink, getting henna tattoos etc. The only thing I don't get is the DJ in the toilets - it's too hot, too loud and the smell is horendous. It's an experience everybody should have at least once.

on manumissions 10th b.day at about 8 (quite empty) in morning i was dancing in main room up by stage when 5 blokes each with their own suitcase and boarding pass came from nowhere and stood in front of me. they were all looking at eachother and not saying a word, then suddenly 1 of the men put his hand to his ear as if he was listening for something, then they all started jumpin up and down in the air waving their boarding passes like mad. they all grabbed their suitcases (were the 1s on wheels) and rushed faster than anything of to the left, down a ramp and disappeard off into the music box. after about 5 thrills and a lack of sleep, that was surely enuff to spin me out for days.

have also spotted a women walking around brushing her teeth and also a women walking around with a dog lead looking and calling for her dog!!

the place is crazy!! 8O 8O

i hate that when you get questioned about everything you say and do on a message board....you'll have a great time ibiza girlie as you said you make your own party 8)

It's a discussion board about Ibiza!
If you dont wanna talk about manumission and why you would/wouldnt go why did you post? Everyone's entitled to their opinion and maybe playing devil's advocate helps to extract people's opinions?

you pm'd me asking for contact details for manumission so you could get free ticks and then you said that you weren't going to go this year but you are because you got free tickets!

i was just confused by this...

stuie by getting free passes do u get into vip 2 or is just case of getting in free mate? thanks in advance :) x

it depends whether you get given a VIP ticket! they don't give out a lot!

definately worth it if not for the music box alone, only been twice and both nights were mainly spent in there, first time ewan pearson was playing and i had a great night, 2nd time the opimo lads were playing and it was simply amazing.

spent little time in the main room, but what i have done ive quite enjoyed, not really my cup of tea music choice but a great environment to be in.
