Manumission - great or all hype?

I have been to ibiza
was at amnesia for cream opening last year
was at pacha for release yourself opening
el divino on a crappy night - didnt like el divino, love disco but i didn't like the atmosphere, too small,
and at space on a random day

Anyway I lOVED amnesia. i thought it was the best club
Would i like privelage manumission?
What are your thoughts on it?
I hear it is empty a lot. One of my fav sets ever is sasha spinning privelage but last year it didnt seem like they had any big djs for manumission
What do i do?

if you've not been before then go. Manumission always packs out privilege.

i have never been but the main opinions I have heard suggest it is way too big and it is more scary than fun. I just want to go some day to see the supposed "biggest club on earth"

Never been to ibiza without visiting Manumission, just expect something different!

Whoever told you this:

Is very very wrong Manumission get more people through the doors week after week than any other party on the island.

The main room is certainly an experience but not that condusive to dancing as it's so busy and the music can be quite obvious.

However the Music Box room off the side is brilliant and they always try something different - ie live acts.

Bit annoyed that I miss the opening by a few days this year.

so Manumission are just about to start their 12th season in Ibiza, and it's surivived on just HYPE?

if you don't like it you don't like it, fair enough. Nothing survives that long on JUST hype!

Without a doubt, id recommend u go to Cocoon @ Amnesia, if you liked the venue on a Cream night then you literally be creaming on a Cocoon Night.

Unless of course you totally dislike Techno, but even then id suggest Amnesia back room for some great Tech House over Manumission

ive never been to mannumission....just dont fancy it looks a bit tacky and full of pissheads...correct me if im wrong tho coz i aint been....

im definately getting to cocoon while im out there this summer....im well into my techno and love amnesia

Thats a valid point that should definatly be noted, i believe 18-30 and various other tour reps sell tickets to there clients, so that should give you an idea of the clientel it pulls in, granted it may only be a fraction compared to how many the club can hold.

Manumission closing party was funking amazing last year, it was absolutely packed out with a really good crowd.

Having never been before, that good a club with that good a crowd, with different rooms of music, on such a massive scale to me was amazing.

I agree with Stuie, it is an essential visit. Interestingly, it was the one party I hadn't plan to go to either.

Space after party was very good too
