Hi everyone

Does anyone have any insight on whether MM this year is gonna be a return to form of banging dance music & Privelidge fully open, or if it will be a guitar based rock festival? I never made it to Manumission a few years back so am hoping to get a flavour of it's past glory... also I've never seen Privelidge fully open so am keen to seethe full room!

Ive been to Manumission religiously for the past 4 years and every year hasnt failed to please. :D
Its a mixture of dance and rock type music but a fantastic mixture, we have everything from Killers to The Egg and in 2005 Fischerspooner appeared live which was amazing.8)

Ive never witnessed it to be an all rock night and the place as far as i know is always fully open, it has to be for the crowds it gets.8)

You wont be disappointed if you go cos no matter what music they play in there the atmosphere and the show make it sound amazing!!

Manumission in my opinion is the best club night ive ever been to!! :D

I went last year for the opening and we found there was a mixture of music on in all different rooms, Mike Skinner was in one and then there was a trancier room etc etc

We really enjoyed it! Just mission getting home!

To help u with that:

MANUMISSION on fridays opens every room in Privilege. there r deejays everywhere and on certain dates they got live music...

ibiza rocks takes place at BAR M ONLY..

does anybody remember the fool who once posted "i think that there should be a law or somthing to ban all non electronic music from ibiza"? i'm still laughing...............

Personally as an ol' timer, I think there's too much rock creeping into Ibiza. Leave one place sacred for us dance heads. Besides mixing rock and dance? sounds like some crappy student night - no thanks. But each to their own.

I'd tend to agree with that

To be fair, a lot of the 'bands' playing at Ibiza Rocks are very dance-orientated anyway, like CSS and LCD Soundsystem.

Me too! I love my Indie ( late 80's early 90's stuff though) and my prog rock. Theres not many bands around now that Im too keen on and I think Ibiza should be kept dance. Maybe its because I am not "down with the kids" now I am nearly 31 and am stuck in the 90's with the Stone Roses etc!

I went to the Fatboy Slim Rock Ness last year with Coxy, Slam etc and this year they turned it into a mini T in the Park with Manics, The Feeling etc playing! Too much rock - needless to say I didn't go this year if I want rock I will go to a concert or a rock festival. On the subject of festies too there are loads to go to and they are all almost a mix of dance and rock - where are the all night dance music "raves" now?

I don't want Ibiza to go the same way! Thats my personal view however again each to their own - there will be plenty of choice on the island regardless so I can just choose to avoid the rock events I suppose. It wasn't always dance on the isle anyway! Think of the 70's with Freddie Mercury etc!

"i agree. personally i hate any band music and don't think it belongs in ibiza."

sorry but i live here and i object to the fact that someone who doesnt live here should dictate what i should or shouldnt listen to or what i should be able to go and see

i doubt there is one person here who would agree with the first sentance - when are people like you going to realise that you dont speak for people here

ignorance is the one word that springs to mind

i love the fact that music i like is being put on here - you dont have the monopoly on music - the fact that clubbers think they do is almost the reason why the island is moving away and exploring other ideas - as its always done
