Losing that beer belly in time for Ibiza

What is a 10-80??

I did Muay Thai for a few years and still train it as part of the MMA. It is probably my biggest love in fighting sports. The worst injury I have had came in point scoring, semi-contact Karate, I took a kick to the face which broke my cheek bone. On the plus side he got disqualified and I went on to win the next match, like a ginger haired Daniel LaRusso!

Just got my tickets to UFC 138. Not very relevant but I am all excited.
 
Discovered that watersports are a much more manageable occupation for a man of ageing years :).. do you ever go to Ten-80, Hally ? I'm a member there ;)

Not a lot of opportunity for watersports in Birmingham unless you want to p**s around on some freezing cold lake or stinky canal.

:lol: - I just seemed to manage to deliver a few too many black eyes on account of not pulling my punches sufficiently accurately

True, true. And we even have our own lake and two canals here in Tamworth.

Yes, Hally, the Ten-80 lake of which I speak and am a member is in Tamworth !! I am stinky enough already not to worry about a bit of pondweed of an afternoon !!

Do you mean you have never checked the place out ?
 
Ten-80 is just down the road from us. I've only managed one wake boarding lesson so far.

Got one week to lose beer belly. Snowdome for us every day I think.

I might be up there tomorrow afternoon or Saturday if you fancy making it 2 lessons - great exercise (once you get up on the damned thing) - or trying out the wakesurfing !! Always more fun with other people and I've got 18 sets to use up before the Winter sets in ..

I am to busy getting the c**p kicked out of me to be doing that. I have a nice limp as it is.

Got York dumbbells for home and am really enjoying them. 20kg in total (but obviously you can take weights on and off). Think I notice a difference after just 8 sessions.

I use a geeky spreadsheet to motivate myself, with exercises split into muscle groups and colour codes as I add reps, weights or a new exercise. :lol: I try to add on two new challenges with each session.

I just started mine again yesterday, got a set up in the garage but could do with some guidance been a few months since I trained. Like to see what others do so I can copy :oops:
 
was gona say hows everyone getting on? I was at my lightest end of july then worked 6 weeks in NY and had 2 weeks in Ibiza. Currently back on it and my fitness levels are at their highest tho my weight isn at its lowest. im hoping its slightly more muscle density than fat!

These are what I have and they come with an exercise chart, from which you can pick exercises. i do a 15 min warm-up (stretches, press-ups, sit-ups) and I've now reached 45 mins on the weights. you'll start with different size weights depending on the part of the body and how strong you are to start with. I've found I can only use a very low weight for tri-ceps but can put virtually everything on for the legs.
 
I have just started my 4th week of the Insanity workout and I am losing weight but its starting to hurt!

Its Max interval training you can do in your front room. You work out like mad for 3 minutes then have 30 seconds off. You do this for about 20min repeating different sets of exercises. Its about 45 min a day with the warm up and cool down 6 days a week.

The 2nd month exercises are supposed to be harder and when most of the belly falls off!

Anyone else booked for next year yet? Booked in June for the euros next summer, and might sneak another week in somewhere :D. Also got amsterdam booked in January with the mrs.

After Ibiza, Cuba & Barcelona this year I'm now back in the gym.

My food intake is now: breakfast - scrambled egg, mid morning snack - banana, lunch - salad & mackeral, mid afternoon snack - apple, dinner - loads of veg with chicken. Drinking water throughout the day as well.

I sometimes have turkey pieces instead of the apple or banana.

Go the gym 4 times a week for 45mins - 1 hour each time.
