We took a bus from Ibiza to Las Dalias and the last one back 22.00.
To Namaste at Las Dalias the same bus and a taxi to Santa Eulalia 10 or 11 €

IBIZA MUSICIANS AND DJS JOIN TOGETHER AT LAS DALIAS ON JULY 18TH IN CELEBRATION OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL.​

On Thursday 18th July, the cream of Ibiza’s musicians and singers will once again join together at Las Dalias to perform for Woodstock 2, “Second Experience”. The live and electronic music extravaganza is being held as part of the ongoing celebrations to mark the 50th Anniversary of the historic music festival. More than 20 of the island’s finest musical talents will make up ‘The Woodstock Tribute Band’, playing tributes to Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, Janis Joplin and Joe Cocker.

Split across three stages, the concert will also feature live shows from popular Ibiza bands ‘The Brand New Hippies’ and ‘Hot Ice Collective’. In addition, the organisers are keen to bring the historical music story up to date, incorporating electronic music and DJs with the live musicians. DJs joining the line-up include Lenny Ibizarre, Mizz Martinez, DJ Hoffman Lalioparda, DJ Angel, Dustin Strunk and DJ Eye Pod.

“Woodstock 2 is a reflection of how the music cycle has gone full circle,” said Woodstock event organiser, musician and DJ, Paul Powell. “As musicians we start off in the studio recording a song that we then hand over to the record company. The track is then passed on to a DJ, who plays this beautiful mix to thousands of people dancing all over the island.

Finally we’re seeing this cycle going back around now in Ibiza. The live aspect, which is the guy who was in the studio making the record, is now on the stage again - with the DJs! A total harmony of electronic, playback and live creative music. Now it’s at it’s furthest point because Woodstock 2.0 brings everything from the past back, right up to date with electronic music, with people like Lenny Ibizarre and Mizz Martinez. There’s this great merging pot of music of all descriptions now in Las Dalias - live, DJ, acoustic, electronic - everything is together. It’s the forefront of the future.”

The organisers and the musicians taking part in the event feel that celebrating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock is an important and timely opportunity to re-educate people, especially younger generations, about where music really comes from and the power live music has to touch everyone, young and old.

Production Manager Jay Scissors said, “The 50th Anniversary of Woodstock gives us an ideal opportunity to restore live music to its rightful place on the island and in the hearts and minds of the people.

Music comes from musicians and their passion for creating, purely for the love of music. That’s the feeling that is then transmitted to the crowd. The audience can really see and feel that passion and the connection between the musicians and it affects them emotionally. This is why we had people in the audience crying at the last event. We’re all excited about being given this opportunity to re-create what was arguably the most incredible live music performance in history and this is the perfect time and place to do it. It will be an experience people will never forget.”

The event will also feature the “Woodstock Experience” dancers, visual arts displays and food trucks. Doors open at 7pm until late, with free entry between 7 - 8.30pm. Entry is 10 euros after 8.30pm.

As mentioned above, this thursday Wax Da Jam will celebrate their season closing (after a successful ten-date run at Pikes) with a charity event at Las Dalias in collaboration with LNADJ, a foundation that creates fund raising initiatives for the electronic music industry.

The entry costs 10€ and 100% of the money will be donated to build water wells in Asia and Africa.
