Khumaras Bar Advice .........

the place kumharas is not a club, its a chillout place for relaxation, a drink, some food and just watching the sunset. some places KM5 are combination-places with music and small dancefloor and a place that´s open all nite.

Thank you all for your informative replies.... probably got all the information I need to go along and form an opinion - cheers all!

try es barraguet at cala bassa for live hippy music on saturdays without the hype of kumharas!

es barruguet!! ;)

es barruguet in cala bassa is okay, happy buddha in cala vadella is okay, zulu lounge in
s'arenal petit (portinatx) is okay and golden buddha in caló des moro (san antonio) is okay
too but kumharas is still the best :!:

and here is a picture of es barruguet:

You should write about the places that you know about and explain what is there what music service prices e.t.c
If people like the sound of it then maybe they will check it out.

here's what i wrote 3 days ago

i personally wouldn't go to kumharas.
music too loud to hold a conversation
service non too clever. i waited 20 minutes for the waitress to meander in our direction and then she didn't bring glasses for my beer.
prices far to high - what am i paying for?
why oh why is there any need for a third world market place in a bar?

so why not try ses palmeres in pdt for a bit of sophistication and beautiful food.
es torrent bar on the beach for a bit of relaxed atmosphere
colmado maria theresa for an andalucian style lunch
there's even an erotic club in pdt now. - next to el magon restaurant.

there's plenty to do around the area - try es barraguet at cala bassa for live hippy music on saturdays without the hype of kumharas!

get out and explore

doesn't that follow your advice to the letter?

hi stephen, you forgot to mention restaurante enricos!! 8)

sorry enrico!

i notice es barruguet now have argentinian tango sessions!

how cool can that be?

ha ha

i said tango!

maybe you should go

do you know that the tango was banned in certain places because it was thought to be too provocative!

Kumharas - I LOVE IT - ok , its starting to get commercialised - but its not nearly like anything round the strip i.e. u can still chill.

Service not the best - but a bit of patience - and hey in a place this laid back, whats the rush anyway.

Each time i've been, I've never had any complaints about the music or noise and the drink prices were very reasonable. OK I agree with Stephen about the Thirld world market - is there any need for this??

Regardless, its still my favourite bar in Ibiza, all the more so by the fact that its in a nice out of the way location round in PDT.

yip, the place is tops :)

:)

it's in the middle of cala de bou, surrounded by 400,000 happy family holidaymakers!

of course it's a tourist trap. it was built especially for people on holiday to do all the things they like doing!

i don't think i need to spell out what's coming next but.......

clubs, sunset bars, chill out places blah blah blah are tourist traps in exactly the same way - they were created especially so you could do exactly what you like doing when you're on holiday!

am i right?

yeah and we all like to think we are above the standard "tourist" level dont we :D ???............. ......... ......... fill in the blanks! hehe
