If it was a racist post everyone would be jumping up and down and screaming as per and the user would have probably been suspended. As it was a good'ol retard joke then thats ok then?
 
It became a negative thread all around :oops: Please do not delete this thread, we are all being peaceful, and everyone, lets keep it that way.

I spank myself for becoming involved in a political thread, because I spout off all the time about how I love this forum and its ability to release me from the everyday negativity/politics of life. Usually very reluctant to engage in politics unless i am speaking to you in person. Even then, a little reluctant LOL.

There were two things I thought were inappropriate and worthy of deletion:

1. A horrid thought and pic about mentally disabled people... completely tasteless and hurtful :evil:

2. Another thought with links posted about gay people in a negative light... how awful.

Please everyone keep respect on the site and try to review what you post before sending as much as possible. We all have our moments but at least make the effort :D
 
Blimey another dummy on the floor next to Paddys! If theres any more spat out you'll end up sucking eachothers by accident if you're not careful!

Good point.

I wasn't really thrilled with the rest of the thread either. Lots of bashing America in one of its darkest hours... kick 'em while their down type stuff.
 
What's pissing me off now is that i've got a load of pics i want to post here but the links to them are all on one of my work computers so i can't :lol: :evil:

Having a whole thread deleted (which is what paddy said he had done) because you don't like one post is way over the top and selfish. The whole commmunity had contributed to and built up that thread which was one of the best ones on here for a long time. Blame to the mods as well if that is the case. If it is the case then i think paddy should apologise for ruining the discussion.

I actually don't think paddy is right at all (about the thread being edleted because of him complaining about the pic) and is being a bit self important, and would like to believe that the mods would not delete a whole thread just because one post offended someone (and that wasn't on purpose, and the poster had apologised).

Actually I complained to Stephen and he confirmed to me that the thread had been deleted at my request. Sounds to me like somebody else here is being a little self-important. And no, I won't apologise.

I think people were just shocked that a disaster brought out the absolute worst in american society and showed america in such a bad light while compare this to how similar disasters in other countries (tsunami, iran earthquake etc) made the whole population come together and work as a community/nation to help the people effected.

Ok,i was wrong, you did get a whole thread deleted because one post offended you. Well done! IMO that's terribly wrong and selfish. I wasn't being self important, i was holding out hope that the thoughts and feelings, and wills of the whole community were stronger and more important than the whinging of one man. I can see why stephen would delete it though knowing it would piss off lots of people on here and give him a giggle ;) :lol:

I must disagree though... I don't like being serious either... But right now my country is having a crisis, and when I see people being offensive for no reason (and completely non-related to Katrina), it makes me mad :evil: Sorry, but posting negative and derrogatory sentiments about gay people or the mentally challenged is ALWAYS wrong in my book.
