Katrina Thread.

Since most of us were criticizing the ineptness of the US government response to this disaster, I suspect someone in the secret service hijacked the thread and deleted it.

yet another cheesy 80's band are on a comeback tour in the southern united states,apparently,katrina and the waves are all over new orleans.

That is unfortunate. Even though some peeps got a little heated (including myself :lol: ) that is no reason to delete the thread IMHO unless blatant disrespect occurred.. It is very interesting to me to hear the thoughts of people around the world concerning my beautiful country, whether those thoughts are bad or good. If they are bad, it is best that you express your views with tact, as I have great pride in the grand ol' US of A :D

This morning though I did read a post by someone that was way out of line and his/her sentiments were very abrasive and had nothing to do with the Katrina efforts or the US gov't. :D

I asked for it to be deleted because of the grossly offensive 'retard' post by Peppermint. In the light of recent events I found it particularly hurtfull.

nope, it was a very socially unacceptable post that I feel was completely justified in its deletion. Though I wish the whole thread did not bite the dust because of this radical and hateful viewpoint :?

The picture was disgusting and i said so at the time but the whole thread being deleted was a good thing. It hardly complimented the community vibe going on here did it?

Getting back to Katrina..

I read on a website recently that,

I'm never on the ball Nishy! :lol: I'll have to keep an eye out for these other Sandi with an I's not Sandy with a Y's :lol:
