· coco beach open every day except on mondays (from 10am to 10pm). since last spring run by the people who used to own jimmys finest in marina botafoc

· nassau open every midday till december 19th. it will re-open around easter as always

· varadero open every day (at midday from sunday to thursday + midday/night on fridays and saturdays). midday menu: 8€

· insula augusta open every day i think. it usually closes around christmas during one month



btw, granja dunes (favourite place for breakfast ) closed this weekend and will re-open at the end of february / beginning of march as always

sol den serra (santa eulalia), another of our favourites, is open every day too

The place is now being run by Jason, an English guy who has been on the island for a couple of years. He is taking the locals on at their own game by offering Tapas & Snacks between mid-day and 7pm everyday. You can taste such tings as garlic mushrooms, spare-ribs, citrus salads, spicy chicken wings, meat balls and sandwiches at 4 or 5 euros, and the portions are a good size. A choice of sweets are available at 5 euros. It's a fantastic place to sit and spend an afternoon, overlooking the sea and taking in the air and good music.

and now a little update about jockey club in las salinas:

And since I'm on a roll, I was having a drink with Bobby from the Jockey Club (nice guy!!) at
Cap des Falco the other day, he says that the Jockey Club will close for 2 months in October,
re-opening the 20th December.

the chef of sa caleta thanks to whom the restaurant is famous for doing the best paella in ibiza is leaving and moving to the restaurant bali beach in playa den bossa..........

btw, after 34 years the restaurant es daus in playa den bossa closes its doors. the family who owns it cant run it anymore so they rented it to, apparently, a fast food chain. no more paella or sofrit pagès or guisat the peix, fantasic!!
