Itaca

I really hope San Antonio doesn't go down the Playa Den Bossa route. Keep all the rockets in PDB please.
 
I always thought itaca was one of the best bars in san an, always a good vibe and always busy

why would the owners bother selling it?
 
Seen Wayne Linekers' announcement on facebook today that they will be in charge for the 2017 season and that upstairs will become an R&B/Hiphop room :spank:
 
But hey,who goes to Ibiza for the music:oops:.not one of our group had any interest in anything that was on last weekend.we got some free tickets for defected @eden and a few got as far as the queue at DC10. Other than that we were happy at Ohio and around westend..:)

I know some people like that genre of music but I've always thought that ibiza is for electronic music. Living in south devon, when I was a teen there used to be so many great dj's and night's in my area. Now there's barely any. Ibiza is my escape musically. Now I'm seeing more and more commercial R&B places opening up each year. I'm worried that in 5 years time it'll just be like going out to a cheesy club anywhere in the UK.
 
I was in Itaca earlier in May (3rd - 7th) and even though it is still the same the vibe has totally changed inside - it just felt different :(

Wayne appeared with a group of hangers on and the atmosphere just dropped. Really disappointed as this was one of my favourite bars in the area.

The two locals that used to look after the terrace were no longer there - they have been working in that place for as long as I can remember!
 
Totally agree. I was there last week. Where as others years at sunset it was a great vibe with some chilled house on, this year it was commercial rap and the pr girl shouting "sick" or swearing at the top of her voice to group's walking past.

That's a shame to hear. Had good daytimes there a couple of years ago when i stayed close.

There was a Chinese guy who's worked on the terrace for as long as I can remember - always good to see old faces when going back , take it he was one of them
 
Just saw a post by Itaca on their Facebook page... Is this the last season of it??? :(:(

I loved sitting there in the days after the Closings, having a few chilled pints after most have gone home...
