its more about being enforced by the council rules than because the covidI think the contactless / cashless time during Covid may have been a catalyst for them all having to have card machines now.
secondary road?Unfortunately the WhatsApp didn’t work for me. Typing on the address and pin on map. Kept saying no such address. Also as per usual when I called with address they never came. So was 5 min walk up to the occidental. Shame but not the end of the world.
Ah fair. Thanks for correctingits more about being enforced by the council rules than because the covid

UBER does seem to be readily available with much quicker wait times, BUT... you will pay massively over the odds
What you can try : Behind the egg ( through the small street , beside the Pacha Shop ) , you find the bus station. Look at google maps. Good experiences at daytimes to go to nearly everywhere on the island. At evenings , too. Night ? I dont know. Look at the timetables. Go at 10 to eivissa with the bus and then with taxi to the clubs. Waiting time at the harbour 30 min. There is a taxi queue with a guy who control it.Okay, since we're in peak season - or what traditionally is considered peak-season, whether the current numbers support that or not, is open for debate - here is an update from me for something that I'm witnessing most days:
Getting a taxi between 16:00 and 01:00 anywhere in San Antonio Bay is a mammoth and frustrating task. This is especially bad when you have a big day party on: think ANTS/Calvin Harris at Ushuaïa or Music On at Destino.
If you are staying in the Bay and looking to go to any of those parties, or indeed anywhere on the other side of the island, give yourself 2 full hours from the time you want to arrive there.
Some pointers:
- in almost all cases, it is a much more logical move to get the water taxi across to San Antonio centre and try your luck with taxis there or get a disco bus (chances are, you will still need to wait, but you will have more choice)
- get a regular bus as close as possible to your intended destination. I know that is not ideal, but it can be the lesser of two evils
- UBER does seem to be readily available with much quicker wait times, BUT... you will pay massively over the odds. For eg. last week I was quoted €55 from Cala de Bou to 528. That is a ten minute journey in the car. I flatly refused to book at that price. I dread to think how much an UBER would be to Destino, but I'm guessing well north of €100. And, if you are splitting between friends, maybe you can still justify that? Certainly if you have already outlayed a lot for tickets, I can understand wanting to get the venue
Just please bear this in mind if you are staying in the area. The queues at the taxi ranks are horrific and it is lawless
Line 3 ? From san An to Eivissa goes until 23.15 , according to time table . I will try it in September. If Im lost , they will find me anywhere in 500 years. That meant : You were right. While i agree with you about the ferry terminal taxi rank in Ibiza Town, that one by the bus station in San Antonio is ignored most of the day. It's good from about 06:00 to 14:00, but I wouldn't even bother trying outside of that window
Handy when you're disembarking the disco bus at the start of the day and dont want to walk the rest of the journey though
