Hello beloved forum members. We seek your assistance once again.

We are asking any of you who wish to contribute your favourite memories from Amnesia from the last fifty years for a feature to mark the club's big anniversary.

We'd love to include as many contributions from our community as possible. We can't promise that we'll be able to include everything (especially in their unedited format...) but we'll certainly try our best. The funnier and weirder the better. Also any memories about a specific DJ set and track would be great. The rest we'll leave up to you. Thanks in advance :)

I should also add, we're giving away a few pairs of Pyramid guest list spots for the posts which make us laugh or raise the hairs on the back of our necks the most

Wouldnt know where to start with all the times ive been there and certainly no great storyteller, but from falling asleep in the garden numerous times and waking up to someone checking im ok and i proceed to sleep talk absolute gibberish and then in my early years dancing at front of dj booth in the main room with my t shirt off, sweating my bollocks off, which looking back makes me cringe a bit...

But most recent memorable night or more a holiday experience was closing in 2023... got upgraded to vip balcony tickets days before through a friend who was with us, who worked for Adidas and they were a sponsor that year. 6 of us landed late afternoon and went straight to our hotel in San An to check in, once done we got taxi back to Pdb to go to Melon Bomb closing Tanit, great time there and then back to hotel to freshen up for Amnesia closing, arrived around 1-1:30 and up the vip stairs we we went, first time up there for us all. Mooched about to get our bearings and went to the bar etc. Come about 2:30am i needed the dancefloor, so i summoned the 2 lads with me and left the 3 girls on the balcony and down the stairs to the main room we went, Charlotte De Witte was playing i think and as ive got to the dancefloor and looked behind me to check my pals still in tow they were nowhere to be seen, i didnt give a toss and carried on, little did i know that i wouldnt see any of the group again that night... I went to the garden for a breather after 5am at some point and had missed calls and texts saying they had all left around 5am... No memorable moments or tracks but i remember being above the dj booth in the terrace with Jones and Capriati playing and still feeling some stamina left, but it was light and i was sobering up and started to feel a little self concious with big groups around me and a little out of place. I left around 10am and some lads asked to get in my cab and were going San An too. Pulled up at their hotel and i decided to jump out and have a stroll not knowing i was somewhere in the bay. Stomped back to my hotel Invisa Es Pla fully intent on going bed, upon my arrival my group were just finishing up breakfast, after a little conversation off i went to grab my speaker and spent the rest of the day boozing round the pool, which carried on right through till breakfast Monday after attending Pikes Sunday.

40+ hours of booze and no sleep...I wasnt in the best of nick to say the least but have and would do it all again 😬

Also a great but unexpected night was the Magdalena party at Cova Santa that got washed out. Spent hours in a bar getting pissed deliberating what to do and got news it was moving to Amnesia. Flew to hotel to get changed and arrived at Amnesia to the dj booth being side on and Solomun up there playing. Was a top night musically and mingled with so many people that night, it just had a really great atmosphere i think due to the unexpected circumstances.

2009 i saw Armin Van Buuren at His Armada Night. I didn’t move from the Pillar on the right of the Main Room all Night and his final Tune at 6am was the Original Cafe Del Mar.

It just felt like a very Special Moment. I walked out with a huge smile on my face and as I walked to get a Taxi I saw Armin, told him what a moment it was and shook his Hand 🌅

My 1st trip to the island in 2003: Amnesia was my first club night in Ibiza. I had only been on island a few hours and didn't have hotel check in until the following afternoon. My plan was to party all night and sleep on the beach the next day. It was a foam party and lived up to the hype. Back then, they had a no camera policy. Nobody had camera phones, yet. I had to leave my digital camera at the door (checked like a coat). They were expensive back then and I was skeptical. When they returned it, I turned around and snuck a quick picture of the inside (blurry of course). I quickly ran to the parking lot, with no idea how to get back to SanAn. It felt like an eternity waiting for the bus.

I haven't been back since.... 😂

1st time at Amnesia was Cocoon (10yr Anniversary) opening party June 15th 2009. Best mate and I went for a mini break and decided on a couple of big ones, (mid 30s at the time ) so went We Love Space opening on the Sunday followed by Cocoon the next day. Anyway for a bit of context…We were ravers from 1990, always kindred spirits when it came to these nights and we’d were doing it through the early 90s in around Blackpool, Stoke, Birmingham and after burning the candle for a few years, we had to rest/go into hibernation (Cancer/relationships/marriage) Anyways after waking up/getting better we thought we need to get the band back together and get back on the dance floor. Well we’d been going to a few places in 2007-2008 around Mcr, (Warehouse Project) and as he’d been Ibiza a few years before, I thought let’s us 2 go, (seen Sven/Cocoon the year before btw) then decided let’s do Ibiza. Although I’d been before in 97 I wasn’t really in a good place mentally for getting back in the game but now I was revitalised for this. Anyway we got there I think on the Friday, stayed Den Bossa and decided to chill for a couple days, doing a few cheeky nights at Bora Bora before the big ones. Well Space on Sunday was great and is probably for another thread, but Amnesia, wow!!! Remember Chris Tietjen and Sven in the main and Villalobos and Luciana on the Terrace….It was just magic. The sound the lights, the people, energy and that pure hedonistic underground club as it should be 🤩🤯🫠😍 It took me straight back to that feeling we’ve all had of….THIS IS DIFFERENT…like for me going the first time going to Oz in Blackpool, (first Dove) Shelley’s in Stoke, Ragmarket in Birmingham and the 2008 Minus night at WHP along with many more nights too. When I think of think of this night and the lyrics/tune that comes to mind is Remember the time first time (mid 2000s house?) Other memories of that night was experiencing for the first real time of how expensive the beer was in the big clubs, 2 275ml of San Miguel s at £17 euros! How hot it was and why not to wear NEW black jeans as it was such a sweatbox and how the jeans had ran all over my legs. It was also a night when Sarah Harding( Girls Aloud) who is no longer with us was partying away in the DJ booth.then topped off with me and my mate all loved up on the taxi ride home blasting out Don’t go breaking my heart on the radio by Elton John and Kiki Dee!!! 🤣 Magical night we had which brings a huge smile every time I think of a night in Amnesia❤️ I’ll have to try and get my mate back again. Also see the ’little flyer booklet from that year too
