IBIZA ROCKS HOUSE & SECRET LIFE PRESENT:
DJ HARVEY IS MERCURY RISING

MONDAYS 13TH JULY – 17TH AUGUST
ALL NIGHT LONG
www.djharveyismercuryrising.com

Following months of island rumours and speculation, Ibiza Rocks House and Secret Life are proud to announce that every Monday at Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes from 13th July to 17th August the legendary DJ Harvey is ‘Mercury Rising. As part of this highly anticipated residency, DJ Harvey will play all night long.

DJ Harvey:Once upon a time at Club Tropicana, Tony Pike, Grace Jones, Bianca Jagger and Freddie Mercury enjoyed their own grown-up playground at Pikes Hotel on the White Island of Ibiza, Spain. They worshipped Tanit the Goddess of Love and worshipped the night away to music as exotic as their fantasies. Thirty years later and for those in the know, little has changed. Tony is still here and we still dance and love to a Balearic soundtrack. Freddie may be gone but his pleasure palace remains and every Monday at Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes from July 13th to August 17th, DJ Harvey is Mercury Rising.”

Supporting Harvey at the parties will be resident DJs Pete Gooding (Café Mambo) and Phil Dockerty (Futureshock / Junior Boys Own) from Secret Life Records and Mark Barrott (International Feel / Sketches from an Island). They will be joined by a collection of the finest hand picked selectors that include; Chris Coco (Melodica), Phil Mison (Cantoma / Reverso 68), Phil South (Golf Channel Records), Apiento (Testpressing.org),Steve Cobby (Fila Brasilia) and Balearic Gabba Soundsystem (Hell Yeah Recordings)

I wouldn't miss this if I was in Ibiza, one of my favourite mixes. We had them playing this at Pikes when we were on honeymoon there in 2000. Good times.

Any reports / reviews of Pikes on Sunday events?

Getting our plan of action together and thinking this could be an option, what should I expect at Pikes on Sunday in terms of music, vibe, will it be busy?

We've done Space, Pacha etc plenty times over the years and will do again this trip but always keen to check out alternative options.

we went to the opening of pikes on sunday and it was class.

very laidback atmosphere during the afternoon, lots of people doing sunday roast, then hanging around the pool. it does get a bit more of a party vibe when the sun goes down, but it's still always pretty laidback. this sunday might be a bit different with the hotflush artists coming in as well after nick warren.

I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you've never been to pikes before - it's easily one of my favourite venues on the island.

Cheers, it's persuading the peeps in the group to make the jaunt. At our ages (35 - 45) you'd think we'd be all raved out but we all still have a love for the music and for that good party vibe. It finishes around 2am I believe, that still gives time to head to Space or Sankeys :D.

Go up early evening for the roast, have drinks beside the pool when the sun is still up until later and then go out.

pikes is nice in the afternoon and towards the evening. it turns into a bit of a party when it gets dark, but if you only arrive at 10pm, you'll miss the whole fun part of it.

honestly, you'll have to decide between beachouse and pikes. do one of them but do it properly. I'd vote for pikes, have an all-dayer there, you won't regret it ;)

Sorry to be a complete noob here but what is the deal with pikes in terms of ticketing etc? Would love to go but not sure how to go about it
