Couple of weeks ago when we walked through I noticed it was incredibly busy at Mambo but a few yards along at Del Mar it was practically dead (just after sunset too), someone there offered us buy one, get one free cocktail vouchers. Walked back through later on and same story, still very busy at Mambo.
 
I find that in recent years mambo still hits the same peak busy level, but really drops off quickly. In yesteryears the sun would go down and everyone would be mingling on the rocks(doing drugs etc) for an hour or so at least, but nowadays within 10 minutes of the sun going down 50% of the crowd have gone. I guess it feeds into the fact that they only need to capture the moment/picture and then it’s ticked off, so the experience has been lost somewhat to chase the immediate dopamine hit of that 5 seconds.
 
Went to Kevin & Perry last night. Other than Lange and some of Seb Fontaine, I didn’t think it was all that good music wise. We managed to stick it out till 5, was tempted to go earlier cause of how busy it was in the main room but found a spot at the back next to the bar for most of it.

We really liked chicane and actually the first people on in the main room (heart and hawk?).

The insane crush had me leave at 2am.

Trying to get to the terrace and toilets was complete chaos. I think security where trying to make people go one side one way other side other way in the little tunnel bit. But a fair few people weren't getting it 😵‍💫🤣

Good crowd though to be fair. And the first time I've seen the outside "new" smoking area.

Then coming back in via the rear of main room was slightly less insane.

Could do with some toilets out there though 🧻

Os would have said hi, but trying to find anyone inside was nuts. Never know, if [un]lucky you might bump into me elsewhere 🤣

(Managed to meet @JayDR8 briefly and someone from solo group. (As well as some new random friends from smokers area 🕺)
 
Might be a controversial opinion but Kevin and Perry last night was one of the worst I’ve been to. Musically it was bloody awful. Tried to get in to the terrace to see if it was any better but they had stopped letting people in to the discotheque and it looked like carnage in there too so I stayed put. Oakenfold put the final nail in the coffin for us and we bailed at around 3ish.

I guess the only positive was the number of people I bumped in to who I knew! Was nice to see @Sheffrb again - sorry I never made it back, trying to push through everywhere was a nightmare.

Not sure I’ll be back to this event again sadly.

😀 Great to meet you! The girl that I ended up with for the night was a good laugh to be fair.

I was feeling f***ing terrible so was a later arrival and when I got there it was a mental cram to get inside, but 10 minutes later we went in and there was absolutely loads of space. We managed to go inside and out multiple times with absolutely no worries and still get to the same spot around the far side. By the end I’d heard 4-5 songs at least 4 times I reckon 😂
 
Any opinions on what the best night tonight may be? It’s a one off chance for me to go to Es Paradis, but slightly worried it really won’t be very busy..
