I noticed that even at music on, so hard to get through the dance floor yet bars totally empty - must be why they’ve done the drink vouchers this time

100% agree, its fantastic value, got 2 tickets for Camelphat closing in october, for the VIP Balcony with the 5 drinks 3 waters for €150.00 each, when you see Black Coffee closing is €110 just for a GA ticket ... and you know thats going to be a complete phone feast and the most boringly predictable DJ going... does he just do that same mix / transition whoop whoop whoop think ?

Same for us for Camelphat closing :)

Already done it for Camelphat and Defected in July and is indeed a great deal. Seemed to be a few more people than usual at the bars throughout the night but without there being much of a wait at all.

Hoping that the competition continues and UNVRS doesn't strangle off too many in the first year. I guess a lot of people will go as it is new and it may level up (I hope) just a tad next year. Would be nice for them to also have to be competitive and offer better deals...

I've held off UNVRS so far but may do sunrise for closing if available. Cancelled Carl Cox closing in September as decided may be too cramped and will probably hit up Bedouin b2b with Jimi Jules at Chinois probably. Always leave something to go back for ;-)

Exactly my thought. I was surprised, he was even scheduled in Ibiza.
Came across him in Lausanne, years ago, not a nice guy. Maybe some Parisian attitude.

wow, ok. I had no idea. I've never really met him, just been to loads of parties he did. It was probably a bold move booking him in July

Smagghe has played Circoloco before both on his own and as Dresden (with Manfredas) - think he’s back there in September.

Plus also at Akasha for OFF BEAT last month.

I booked him back in 2015 in Brighton for Patterns and he was fine then. Great set too.

Very happy to see Amnesia so busy and bouncing last night. Both rooms were open with the Terrace packed full for Kettama and Ben Hemsley who then went B2B with Alan Fitzpatrick at the end.

Really enjoyed all sets and it felt like the Amnesia of old. Hardly any phones out too, just everyone dancing and enjoying themselves - transported back to the 90s / early 00s!

Not sure why they had the DJ booth at the opposite end to usual which I’ve never seen before at Amnesia. Made for a much bigger backstage area but that wasn’t packed.

Angel Lee, La La, and Girls Don’t Sync were all really good in the Main Room too.

Another busy night for Amnesia, pulling it out the bag this year, Mondays with Ben and Kettama, Tuesday Eastenderz, Wednesday Resistance and Pyramid hitting it off a few nights and Saturday with Bresh probably isn’t doing too bad with the locals either. Good on them!

I know he played dc10, but Chinois doesn't fit his darkness.

Great to hear about Amnesia doing well! Can’t picture this though… would it not cause a big bottleneck at the entrance?

Happens (or it least to) happen quite a lot. I’m sure Elrow did that on occasion and also Matinee and a few others where they pull a curtain over to half the size of the room. And yes it is a hellish bottleneck.
