ibiza gossip 2025

Looks like Trip at Chinois has been cancelled until October, this week will be the last edition until then. Wounded its got the axe the week before I had tickets.
 
Very sad. Was it due to numbers as this week’s line-up is excellent - Margaret Dygas & Ivan Smagghe, and last week’s was very strong - Midland, Peach, & Craig Richards.

This really has become such an unpredictable season in Ibiza.

I feel for johannes, I was hoping trip would make it through the season, but the wednesday slot was very hard for them. not just because of the silly stiff competition, but also - and I think mostly - a lot of the crowd that would go to trip is a crowd that cannot go out wednesday nights. a lot of ex cocooners living on the island would be going to trip if it was fri or sat night. and a lot of those people, by now, have more 'normal' jobs so they can't go crazy midweek anymore. we've actually discussed exactly this the other day.

as gutted as I am for trip, I'm not surprised it happened that way.

Sadly agree and wish it had been on a Friday or Saturday (or even a Thursday).

I wonder will they replace or just close now on a Wednesday for the remainder of the season..
 
Trip has been cancelled/ cancelling their events in august and September… this is about the 4th party I’ve seen this happen to this year? I’ve never seen it happen before, either I just didn’t notice… or UNVRS has truly taken its toll on the events on the island. Big names are just too powerful atm, music on, anything UNVRS Hi and Uschuia all thriving.
 
It's pretty normal that this happens anything between two and half a dozen parties every season.

What's perhaps more surprising, is that TRIP is an established party four years deep and that hasn't recently switched venues (although it did move to a less busy day of the week). But it underlines that midweek tourist dip and the fact the number of potential clubbers on the island in these periods is not sustainable for the total overall capacity available - and, yes, that is largely a result of UNVRS opening in 2025 although perhaps unfair to say there are not wider factors at play
