ibiza gossip 2025

I don’t see Amnesia struggling, I think they will do well and I think they will be cheaper than Unvrs or however you spell it.

Ben Hemsley to move from Ibiza Rocks? So we could see a weekly trance night back at Amnesia in one of the rooms there?

I think Amnesia is positioned well as a contrast to the other nonsense, but at the end of the day it comes down to bookings. Amnesia needs to put on their big boy pants and lock up some good parties. For whatever reason, they always seem to fall behind when it comes to bookings. Don’t know if they are strapped for cash or their management team is incompetent, but they need to make a statement this summer if they lose the parties that are rumored.

Maybe the prices will go down? I remember e. g. Space having "lesser" nights around 2010 with humane ticket prices and no "top talent".

I wouldn't mind to go to Amnesia for a "normal" night without world famous DJs that is not packed like a sardine can and does not cost an arm and a leg.

Not sure why "no phones" is such a thing. I don't use my phone that much at a party (maybe I'll do one 30-seconds video for my memories and for sharing with friends). But people who film with their phones all the time don't disturb me at all - live and let live! If that's what makes them happy - let them be happy :)

The issue with the phones is many stand still while recording not making a sound so not to be heard screeching on it. Only takes a few in a group to do that and the atmosphere dampens.

Completely disagree with that. I think Amnesia's bookings are generally very good. In terms of cash, you might find for Elrow for example the net take for the club is smaller than you'd think.

Lots of good comments and observations above, and not much more to add.

I echo what @stivi says that there just aren’t enough people to fill every club every night. For me it feels very 2013. Tons of change of nights, and ended up a lot of casualties.

On Amnesia they might do well to just open the Terrace on a number of nights. Would get everyone into one room and create a good party when you can’t fill the full club.

This might be a controversial view on here, but most people go to a night for the headliner. A lot of us on here aren’t normal. I mean I go to Black Coffee for Damian Lazarus, if you surveyed most people 95% would be there for the headliner. This is an age old problem with multi room venues in 2024 when the marketing is all about the headliner. The days when 20 DJs on a Space Flyer all headlined are over. The exception to the above may be Pyramid. Even Paradise on the night I went last September struggled to fill both rooms. And if reports are accurate UNVRS will be ONE huge 8,000 room venue. Hï have (to be fair) managed 2 rooms really well, but the problem is still that most people want to be in the main room on nights like Afterlife.

And Solomun sits backs, relaxes and only has to worry about adding a +1 each night.

I can't imagine that TNL will let 3 locations compete against each other in the long run. It will be really interesting in 2026, when we will really see the effects.

The last few years have been weak imo. Paradise was decent some weeks, but Jamie Jones is a weak headliner imo. Same goes for Capriati’s party, I think Capriati is pretty solid, but he’s not that huge of a name. Pyramid has some decent weeks but lacks consistency, like the other 2 I just mentioned.

Compare that against what’s going on at Pacha, Hi, and DC10 and it’s not even close. Bibi’s party would be perfect for Amnesia, why is it at DC10? You could say the same with several other parties. Hopefully Amnesia is not sitting on their hands this season because the club is the best out of all of them.

Not sure I agree with this to be honest. I think he’s a huge pull at the moment. He’s respected, and as you saw from his line-ups last summer he can pull in a lot of DJs to play for him. I also think how they built up his night slowly over the last few years has worked really well.

I put him in the big name, but not huge, category. I liked his party and hope it stays at Amnesia.

I was listening to Ants radio this morning and Francisco Allendes was talking about their upcoming dates next year, to which he followed it up to say that Ants would be returning to Ushuaia next summer.

I also saw on Instagram this morning that Tony Truman put a story up of the sky above a hotel (think it looks like Ushuaia) which a hologram reads 'Coming Soon' '01.01.2025', potentially to do with the rebranding of the tower?

after a few more chats I had during the last days, I can only reaffirm what I said the other day in regards to ibiza 2025. TNL have spared no expense and it shows in their line ups. and yeah, amnesia can pretty much start from scratch - which I agree is always an opportunity, but a tough one, having the new kid on the block next door.
