ibiza gossip 2025

As @W_I_C said above, will be a huge turnover this season, so expect huge amounts of change everywhere.

The Carl Cox @ Amnesia one wet my appetite. You’d imagine it’s the kind of thing Coxy would do to support a non Night League venue I.e. not Ushuaia, Hï and UNVRS. The Amnesia Terrace is made for his sound IMO. Just can’t imagine him doing a 12 week long residency (if there was any truth to this).
exactly as cox's past statements he would never start a residency with TNL.. but if this is true: Cox @ Amnesia, it will be a crazy one :)

just wondering for Afterlife if they will quit completely or move to UNVRS etc... we will see

source reddit:

A very reliable guy who works in Hi Ibiza told me that Anyma and Mrak don’t have a very good relation between them. But Afterlife will be 100% happening with a major change starting in Tulum after the end of genesys. Anyma will do his own shows, Mrak too, and they will continue with TOU but without the “tiktok” visuals and more “underground”. Barcelona and the residency in Ibiza are 99% happening but without Anyma or Mrak live shows

I can see Amnesia being one of, if not THE, big success story of 2025 (and not the place over the road), by going back to basics and bringing the names who made Ibiza what it is. Plus possibly also banning phones...?
Let's hope it translates into commercial success as well...

I am of course excited about the one-off events and about Carl Cox rumors, but all these presumably appeal to the older crowd (myself included). I hope there enough older crowd to fill the club throughout the season.

I'm hoping you are right with that as I love amnesia, but I can't help but think it's gonna be a tough summer for them.

let's face the following facts...
- they've lost their number one night to the club next door (confirmed)
- rumours also say they lost their number two and three nights (paradise and joseph capriati) to the club next door respectively to hi (unconfirmed still)
- the club next door will undoubtedly be the 'news of the season' and will massively benefit of the 'new' factor.

amnesia could indeed do with having someone like carl cox coming in for a weekly residency to help them next year.

in general though, and now I'm not speaking about amnesia but all of the island's clubs, I have a feeling 2025 might turn into a proper dog eat dog situation. I'm still sceptical as to whether it's possible to fill all those venues now that we add another venue to the mix - or I'll say it differently, everyone will do everything they can, but I just can't help but see it being a mega competitive summer next year unless each venue takes a day off per week. I just don't believe there's enough talent around capable of filling all those venues (and at the level of ticket prices the island has now arisen to).

it could really turn into an interesting season this.

Agree that some clubs particularly Amnesia and Eden will have to decide whether it's more cost effective just to shut some nights than have the cost of opening and risking only getting a small crowd.

I also agree with someone's earlier idea that Amnesia should try and shift to be more 'underground' such as no phones to give it a USP.

Maybe the prices will go down? I remember e. g. Space having "lesser" nights around 2010 with humane ticket prices and no "top talent".

I wouldn't mind to go to Amnesia for a "normal" night without world famous DJs that is not packed like a sardine can and does not cost an arm and a leg.

Not sure why "no phones" is such a thing. I don't use my phone that much at a party (maybe I'll do one 30-seconds video for my memories and for sharing with friends). But people who film with their phones all the time don't disturb me at all - live and let live! If that's what makes them happy - let them be happy :)

Interesting to play with the idea that such a competitive situation might lower the prices of tickets and drinks in some places and make the music and dancers more important than the mega big superstar dj? This is unlikely to happen, but it could also happen.. 🤷‍♂️

It's certainly going to be an interesting year...

Given the Godskitchen news, IF someone like Carl Cox announced a residency at Amnesia, then that would change everything.

Maybe it's time for one of Nina Kraviz, Charlotte de Witte, or even Indira Paganotto (taking over from Joseph Capriatti as her room was so popular) to have a residency, and Amnesia seems most likely, given 2024's line-ups.

Fed up with only seeing (mostly white) men on the big billboards around Ibiza. Peggy Gou would be perfect.
