agree, it’s a winning combination from what i’ve heard and read on here.

The question/tweet was asked on the day as it looks (tbc) that it might be a glitterbox/Hi opening parting,

I’m across for the opening so will hopefully go if confirmed

Yeah I agree. A few sets I heard last season I was quite impressed to be honest. I like where they moving to, and personally I think it needs a 'night' to continue that move. The problem with Ushuaia day-time / early sets (as great as they can be) is you have to still cater for a pre-midnight crowd. The exception of course the one-offs like Sven, Stephen Bodzin Etc when they play.

personally, with this branding, I'd be v.surprised to see Ushuaïa and Hï deviate from their usual opening format. Doesn't scream disco to me. but, hey, i've been wrong about these things in the past

Nobody is forcing you to do anything if Solomun isn’t for you. Don’t go.

This is spot on. Their sets at Ushuaïa were certainly on the commercial side last year. But they played 6 hours at De Marktkantine in Amsterdam maybe 12 months ago and it was completely different, would be a nice change if they do jump to Pacha

Outside of Opening and Closing Destino can only do 10 parties a season, so doubt would be many Claptone’s if they did.

Though it would break the cycle of Solomun, Marco Carola, Solomun, Marco Carola, Solomun, Marco Carola, Solomun, Marco Carola, Solomun, Marco Carola, Solomun.

But then if you had them on the payroll, why would you change much?

Yeah, good point. I am not sure if I had a bad experience with a clown when I was a kid, but adults wearing masks personally scares me half to death. Same with adult versions of Mickey Mouse. Grown men should not be hiding their faces (just my view though).
