RE: overcrowding etc.

Went to Tale of Us last Thu at Hi, it was busy but manageable, even in the main room. Avoided Black Coffee, went to Claptone at Pacha instead.

Stivi is right and they seem to manage the crowd numbers well - but the music was not great, particular MoodyMan who was dreadful.

Luckily we managed to get access and met some SUPER cool people that made the night worthwhile / magical.

Still haven't found the garden. :)

Echo the views re Underground - went to that on Friday, again crowd was not too bad / manageable; a good option if you like the music. Extremely good value too in terms of entry and drinks.

Last night Chemical Brothers at Amnesia (terrace) was great. Pretty full but plenty of space to dance. Left shortly after - wasn't really into Marco Faraone after - or Fatima in the mainr room

Hi all - planning to come to Amnesia closing on the 15th. Does anyone one know what the timing will be - will they be allowed to close midday this year?

So, Glitterbox closing: With the competition of Solomun all night long and Chemical Brothers I had room to dance and especially in the club room the vibe was outstanding (was my first Glitterbox). It thinned out very early though, and they closed at 6 sharp.
Now I said it before and I'll say it again: That theatre floor of Hi is atrocious and needs some serious fixing. Not least the sound issues: That system is terrible for vocals. It might be ok for Afterlife, but for Disco (or Guetta I imagine) it is terrible. All the sung vocals sound wishywashy and get pressed to the back of the track. Worst soundsystem of the island!

And you didn’t even mention the smoke cannons. 😖

Hi all
Was thinking of coming for Solomun closing but noticed it's sold out on the Pacha website.
Anyone know if there'll be tickets at the door?

there will be a batch of tickets on the door yes. needless to say you'll have to be there early.

Not been to Underground before, but considering it on Saturday 14th October. Heard good things about it (on here amongst other places).

Will the venue be very busy mid-October? Conscious it clashes with the Amnesia closing and also Claptone closing at Pacha. Wouldn't want to arrive via taxi only to find a largely deserted venue!

Hard to say really...given it is just a residents night and the amnesia closing is the same night across the road, wouldn't expect it to be busy. Its kind of one of those places where you only really need 50 or 80 people for it to still be a good party though and the sound is great in that room, well suited for the sound they cater for...its cheap entry and a free drink but when you factor in taxis might still be a bit of a gamble?

Thanks, this is very helpful. Another option would be Pikes who have Bushwacka on that night. I assume Pikes will be busier but, again, not too sure given the time of year!

I think Pikes would be busier than Underground yeah...also free. Similar vibes to underground in terms of small dancefloor with big sound and also nice outdoors bits for smoking and chatting....Pikes obviously more popular with Brits whereas you might get more of a mixed crowd at Underground.

ah I see you are referring to this friday. you will be fine this friday by being there just before midnight I think.

next friday 13/10 for the closing will be a trickier one, I thought you were referring to that one.
