Is it not a case that clubs, well the most popular nights are always rammed in peak season, August in particular. Also, is it not a case that while these venues can hold 3-6/7000 capacity, we only see them in FULL capacity during this period, besides obvious one off parties, open/ close, NYE etc.,Hence the sardine fear. Ibiza is going through a popularity surge once again, which happens every few year or more, hence the volume of people on the island. The ‘clubbers’ these days are phone perv’s rather than dancers, so less space is needed in the eyes of the owners so pack em in! Personally I need room to twirl and vogue like nobody is looking 😉🕺…. That’s why September is the best time for clubbing in my eyes

The overcrowding thing gets used a lot. Unless Ushuaia was completely full to the back, it just means everyone’s squeezed in at the front surely. Although I do think the layout of the pools etc there do make it a ‘tricky’ venue

Can confirm it is very busy on beaches and in clubs.

Can confirm there is a bit of traffic.

Can confirm drinks are expensive.

Can confirm it’s Ibiza in August.
😂😂😂 thanks for letting me know… I’ve been plenty of times in august myself and yes it’s bound to be busy given the time of year… that said it does seem to be getting worse.. just an observation based on a lot of stuff I’m seeing and hearing. Just think clubs surely have a duty of care for customers.. there’s busy, then there’s dangerously busy.

Yeah it does get thrown around for sure but the fact I’ve seen multiple posts referencing the same offenders does suggest there’s some legitimate concern among clubbers. I totally understand the time of year playing a huge part but equally the situation seems to get more severe year on year .. just an observation from someone who loves the island and all it has to offer but has honest concern for something going seriously wrong one day!

Maybe it’s more posts from those who are in Ibiza purely for the hype, the (insta) gram moment and not used to peak season in full swing… bless 😉

blue marlin's event for today is cancelled due to the bad weather.

it should stop raining in the afternoon, but the strong wind might persist. I wonder if ushuaïa will be able to open later - for now they haven't said anything regarding cancelling so I guess for now it's on.

Predictably, all boat parties cancelled too. Ticket holders contacted in due course.

No decision yet from Ushuaïa, O Beach or Cova Santa

EDIT: O Beach say they are open

I'm staying at pacha hotel...hopefully they have the same free entry thing (what with different owners?)...amnesia closing Saturday too so it looks like a biggie
I’m staying at destino for the same and emailed them to them to confirm.

They said “Access to the club is until 00:30h and subject to club capacity so we recommend that you arrive with time in order to avoid disappointment since we are expecting a lot of people for the closing party and a long que may form at the door.”

So I assume if you arrive at 12am that should leave plenty of time to get in. Although if anyone has experience of a big queue forming before open and advises getting there earlier that would be really helpful to know!

Hope that helps!

I’ve only ever been in September and the dance floors have always been sound, although I’m not precious which probably helps. But the black coffee night I refer to was a sept and it was horrendous. Not a fan of hi anyway if I’m honest, added to that I couldn’t move, was pretty shite

Do we know why no Ricardo Villalobos yday? Socials just seem to announce Seth T rather than say no Ricky V? Hoping it’s nothing that will risk him not playing in 2 weeks time?

Fair play if it’s a private matter sorry just asking for selfish reasons as the pyramid I’m attending was gonna be Harvey as well but that’s already not happening!

i heard it was due to a family matter, but that's just what one person told me

if you mean the viewpoint everyone goes to (above cala d'hort, close to the watchtower), forget it. very busy, especially for sunset, people selling mojitos, stupid people littering, DJs playing there sometimes (without any permission obviously in what is private land AND a bird protection area).
Picture posted yesterday by AVEC, Es Cubells' neighbors association, who are still waiting to have a meeting with the new major to discuss this and other problems...

DC10 just posted that pretty much half their lineup are stuck in the UK due to air traffic control problem

MIght be more impacted as a lot of DJs will have been in England for Creamfields

I know this is not normally the case. But would people be refunded on this kind of occasion (as it’s basically a concert lol with the main act not there = no show)

Just curious on this one.

often it works like this when the main act / headliner can't make it on such short notice:

you are informed at the door that he's not there. if you decide to go in anyway, there's no refund since the party still happens and you accepted to attend knowing the headliner won't perform.

if not, you turn around, go home (or elsewhere) and ask for a refund.

EDIT: no guarantee that this is how it is being handled in this speficic case
