Thanks for the link, I've seen that when first posted so I was wondering if there was a more recent review as things in Ibiza change very rapidly

Not that fresh
We were on All Day I Dream on June 22 and June 29.I hope not to come across too obsessed with this issue but has the sound's level at Cova Santa improved?
I haven't been this year yet for this reason.
Anyone been there lately?
I'm assuming you are talking about the outdoor space here which was the "quiet" one last year, right? We were on All Day I Dream on June 22 and June 29.
I might be the wrong person to answer this, because I'm very careful when it come to my ears and I always use ear-protection. That said, I definitely think most would find the sound levels loud enough, especially if you are on the dancefloor within the coverage of the main speakers.
A side note, I think the sound field might be a bit narrower compared to last year, a bit more focused on the dancefloor, but this is just a feeling I have. Loudness aside, the sound quality was actually very good, better than last year. Punchy and crystal clear.
Yes, exactly, all my observations were concerning the outdoor space.I'm assuming you are talking about the outdoor space here which was the "quiet" one last year, right?
There were no problems with the inside bit.
Great, thank you!Yes, exactly, all my observations were concerning the outdoor space.
There will always be people paying it for a while yet due to the clientele Ibiza draws in.
The table next to us last night in Pacha arrived late, looked like they didn't want to be there, then left early. Had their own security so way more affluent than me, vastly different league than me, but if you end up with that in the main the atmosphere will die.
Luckily we had people round us with the same attitude
And that is what chasing the money will do, kill the whole reason why you dance. It will be an interesting point to where that ends up. At the end of the day you have the VFM if you want it still in Akasha and other places so maybe the market forces will just move the people to the more affordable spots.
I loved the general admission even though it was rammed for the middle bit of the night and will most definitely not "have" to do VIP, as good as it was. I found it tough in the 90s to afford the drink prices so it's always had a premium. Back then though the West End was a viable option for a night out
Rambled a lot as probably still drunk but hey there you go. I can afford it now but my kids may look at cheaper destinations even though they love it due to me showing them what the island offers
Haven't been this year but it's obvious it's gotten better just from videos I've seen. I also know Eastenderz & PIV (among others) were VERY annoyed by the noise issues last year and don't think they would have returned without some degree of assurance/clause that they can pull out of the night if noise level has to go below a certain db. Last year was indeed a joke....I hope not to come across too obsessed with this issue but has the sound's level at Cova Santa improved?

Now when Ibiza is so expensive, many will only stay for 2 or 3 nights and pay the price. Not like b4 when they stayed for 2 weeks. As we're staying almost 10 weeks, no way.**WARNING** - Rant incoming below, feel free to put me in my place if anyone disagrees!
Not sure if this has been discussed before but just looking on the calendar and noticed tickets for the Pacha's 50th Anniversary are 100 euro, just for the evening and that's a "pre-sale" price.
I'm not one to usually complain about prices but that seems very steep. Appreciate they are two of the biggest names around the underground scene but they regularly have A list DJ's playing there individual nights. Solomon has Dixon for the closing, arguably just as big as Carola, and they are 80 euro on 3rd release, which I suspect will go until midday (could be wrong). I know Calvin Harris also charges the same, but in terms of world wide status think it is fair to say he is a bigger name, even if not my cup of tea, and certainly performs less regularly than Solomon/Carola.
Maybe I'm being a little harsh but leaves a sour taste when they are charging a 25% increase on their most expensive other nights simply because they can.
I fear, when ticket's sell out and they realise people are happy to pay this price we will soon see the standard Solomon / Carola nights charging this price regularly.
Anyway that's my rant over.
Originally the lineup said Anyma before saying special guest. Don’t know if that means it’s him or someone else instead now thoughView attachment 16249Wonder who the special guest for this will be?
