there will be more stuff coming for that period, but as said above, afterlife likely won't start until the end of may at the earliest. their residency used to start in the middle of june pre-covid and my gut feeling tells me they'll probably keep it similar.

tale of us play dc10 opening on 2 may though and I have a feeling they might play another monday before afterlife starts (same might be the case for other artists that usually play afterlife) so I'd definitely check out the circoloco line ups when they come out.

no.

on this, for people coming in peak season (as in july or especially august), if you have a look at our fabulous party calendar, you'll see that there will be FOUR weekly parties at dc10 (in august that is, in july it's one less). and I hear that there might be another one coming still.

compared to the two weekly ones pre-pandemic (plus the odd friday nighter), they're programming a full-blown summer programme this year.
will be very interesting to see how this all pans out!
@stivi I always just thought that the reason DC10 had so few nights compared to other clubs was their constant battles with the authorities regarding license suitability and noise, is this not correct or has something changed so they can now put on a fuller programme?

@stivi do afterlife normally play melodic, progressive at dc10 or do they play a bit harder stuff?

erm...afterlife as a party usually has two lines musically

one floor is the melodic stuff - tale of us, adriatique, innellea etc... the dramatic but very melodic techno which usually is slow in bpm.
then they usually have a second floor which is proper techno. fjaak, ben klock etc.

so whoever from the usual afterlife roster plays dc10, I'd say they play their usual style. I personally can't make out a big difference between when they play at afterlife or at a different party.

what I do notice is if a techno DJ plays berghain or ibiza anywhere. THAT is different.

that might have been the case years ago when they still had that old license for 60-something people. but they've beefed up everything in the past decade and got the right license. it's a full on club now.

Old Hush in the West End is now Cee Cee Ibiza, it looks like

Decent opening line-up for that location/somewhere so small. Martin Ikin & Product Of Us on 14 May

Cynic in me wonders if leaving the West End unfinished for the start of the season suits the agenda of the authorities, kill off the remaining Bars then reinvent the area...
Suits my agenda too TBH, it's a horrid place. I am somewhat torn though, the West End keeps a certain sort of person localised there. I am aware I sound like an awful snob.

There's been much debate over the years in the West End thread, im not anti change as such but my question is always what will replace it? I just can't see thousands of middle class customers changing their holiday plans to San An suddenly, it will take years. Changes like Picis Park going from a 2* to a 4* are huge though.

Do feel for the business owners who have been there years though, 2 years of a pandemic with little to no income then it seems either unable to open for the start of the season or have customers walking through cones.
