Rapidly rising social media star due to hanging tree= recognition = more through the door. A club owners dream.
Fisher done it similar timing with one track too but on a much larger popularity scale

I don't rate Bibi very much and I can say I have seen him 5 times now.
Solid Grooves line-up today Darius Syrossian would smoke Bibi into oblivion
 
Personally think he’s bigger than Fisher ever was / is. Seems to straddle many ‘crowds’ and b2bs with Carola, MBros, Loco Dice, marathons on Space Miami terrace pretty much elevates him pretty high in that ‘scene’

Not really a fan of his sets or productions now but fairs fair he was grafting the London afters scene probably 10+ years ago now playing dodgy clubs in Vauxhall on a Sunday morning.. was often warm up of choice if someone like Steve Lawler / Darius Syrossian was in London so whatever success he gets he deserves

100% spot on. as much as I genuinely dislike the stuff he plays, he's earned his stripes.
 
Yeah was more just an observation as I've never seen him play and don't know loads about him just very obviously all over the place this year. Fair play if he has put the graft in.

Haha you must be joking right? Fisher plays everywhere. Big EDM stages/festivals and smaller (techno)clubs. Has it own residency at Hi/Ibiza and Vegas etc. Big $$$.
 
solid grooves at dc10 w/o garden tonight - just the main room & the terrace. so I guess it was just for the opening where they opened the garden and possibly for the closing again then.

I’m not saying he’s not big, but having a vegas residency isn’t really a big deal. Also he’s manufactured and ‘backed’ to get where he is off other peoples talent. My point was Bibi had some credibility from being built from the ground up to where he is.. Maybe he’s big in america or whatever, but Shaq O’Neill has a residency in Vegas at the Wynn as DJ Diesel so not sure that counts for much there days

FYI he didn’t even sell out his drum sheds London show which was then ‘rescheduled’ and moved to the smaller Printworks which was selling tickets the week of the gig.

Bibi / Solid Grooves sold out printworks in hours and then put on a 10 hour event at Fabric the next day.

During that funny period where lockdown sort of ended all events struggled to sell out. Wasn't hard to get a ticket to all popular events and I feel that is still the case today to be fair

Bibi's huge popularity is the U.K especially London too so no bother to sell out a venue here.

Also worth a mention is John Summit on the scene now... See he is in a handful of Ibiza clubs this season. Likely a future headliner I suspect

Yeah that sounds terrible. I was at this night, and left around 5.30 - had no idea everyone was kicked out shortly after, except for VIP behind DJ booth who continued....! Is this going to be the way Pacha does it every event this season? Or just Bedouin? Or some weird one off occurance?

I'm told it was simply emptying and they closed a little early - nothing overly surprising.
the dancefloor always empties quicker than the vip. the party didn't actually continue in the vip, it just took longer to empty it. that's all.
 
But 5:40 is really early. At the very least 6AM, or in Pachas case because it seems to operate separately from other clubs, 7 AM.

I've, for the part,always exited at 7 AM there, Solomun and Dixon in 2016 or 17 ended at 8:15 AM

Was it busy? I feel it wasn't, and they just wanted the peasants to go home.

this actually happens in various venues. I know glitterbox also closed early a few weeks back - it really isn't something unusual in the run up to peak season.

It was busy enough….I was just getting in my stride so quite disappointed. It certainly did feel like it is was peasants getting thrown out especially when the doors closed and music started up again! But hey, that’s life…
