I highly recommend the other restaurant of Xucla owners, Es Brots, in, S'arenal Petit.
Xucla is nice, but too hot for Lunch in summer month.

I saw it open once in the first year. Tiny space and a novelty.

I really like Octan/Sankeys. That venue could be brilliant if it was ever managed properly. No one has ever got a proper grip of it. They have attracted a few good nights over the years but never put out a consistently popular weekly program.
The location is terrific. It has a good sized main room with vip to the side, the roof terrace is quite large and offers all sorts of possibilities and the basement could be reworked to make it a really good back room rather than a box with a bar. There is probably potential to put another floor on it too. If Pepe was ever serious about Space mk2, that could have been a good purchase, albeit a much smaller scale, but same location. It’s not as if anyone is going to get a licence for a brand new club anytime soon.

Agree. Getting the Club back on top form would also breathe life into the streets around it which were looking very grubby last time I went there 2 or 3 years ago.
 
here's a little add-on to what I posted in the coronavirus updates thread yesterday.

as from this sunday onwards, for sport events, spectators are allowed both indoor as well as outdoor on the balearics. the exact crowd limit depends on the 'importance' of the event, but it's 30% if indoor and 50% if outdoor and capped to a max of between 200-500 indoors and 500-1000 outdoors.

that's some decent rules considering the fact it's only may! give it a little more time for the vaccination to continue and then I think it might be a sign to come for events with music...
