Why not starting the 2021 gossip thread right now? I think it would be alot more interesting compare to what that thread as become (it's a shame the virus as kill our most important thread). Will Cocoon be back in 2021? On mondays? At Amnesia? f***, will Amnesia be back in 2021? What else will die or survive?

Big respect to Heart Ibz, we can see the integrity of Heart ibz announcing this news months b4 and can be doubtful for other brands such Amnesia Hï/Ushuaïa announcing the cancelling of may opening events 1-2 weeks b4 ? (they may announce the cancelling of season end september ? ?)

just to point out this wasn't an official announcement made by the venue.

Its strange : A lot of announcements from newspapers and less from the venues ...
Where did they get the information ?
Normally you ask for a statement from the officials and then you write it down ...

Same for travelling to the spanish islands In german newspapers there is a text who says its maybe possible this year. Yesterday there was one here : Borders closed until october ...

simple. newspapers (the media in general) need articles. and sometimes they don't care if they are reporting the truth or a rumour or a possibility or an option. they voice what's been said. so a lot of scenarios are posted.

The same way they usual do. Either a) they speculate/make it up themselves or b) they have an unofficial source who could have any degree of reputability from qualified to blagger

To be fair regarding the Heart story they quoted the Heart head chef from a virtual gastronomy conference where he said that if the worlds best rated Michelin restaurant in Copenhagen is not opening which relies on 70% tourist and you need to operate at over 70% capacity to be profitable he couldn't see how they could open the restaurant with restrictions and limited tourists ... No mention of the club but wouldn't expect it to open but you can see why owners / managers wouldn't be happy as this could damage the brand or what they might try to do later in the season

Yeah , our Bild in germany is doing it. If I , or
someone read it , we know its maybe wrong.
But good newspapers are not in this way . Ok , everyone is doing mistakes , but when I read the Times or Faz or Sueddeutsche , there are not so many mistakes. They have a political agenda , ok , but I know that.
Where is the problem to send a mail to Heart
and ask ?

correct. after so many years here I know a few of them...not as in knowing their names and such, but their faces and a friendly nod and that's it.

I know many nice looky looky guys too.

The problem guys are the ones who nick your wallets and shake your hand long enough to steal your Rolex!!!

San An & PDB obviously the worst places for this.

here's heart's official stance:

Heart Ibiza will modify its concept in the face of the new reality this season, developing new formulas in its creative laboratory and adapting to the new needs, but at the same time, being realistic in the face of the challenges it faces and that will undoubtedly modify its operation.
José Corraliza, General Manager and Creative Director of Heart Ibiza, wanted to highlight the versatility of the Heart model and the importance of detailed analysis as a basis to adapt to different scenarios that covid 19 has brought us. "Although there are many elements unknown to everyone, it is very important to be realistic and at the same time be flexible to find new formulas in our format that can be more based on music, art or gastronomy interchangeably and being aware that tourism or airlines can take months to start operating on the island. Heart Ibiza is a laboratory and every year we have had to adapt in our model so, we have therefore "flexibility" in our DNA. And today more than ever, we must continue to bet on innovation and creativity as the main objective", says José Corraliza who, in addition, advocates reinventing himself and working among all for a strong positioning of Ibiza as a destination.
"We know that our model is not economically viable without tourism, at least as we know it, but we are reinventing ourselves and visualizing new ways to excite in this new reality and, of course, starting with all those who are on the island and with whom we will continue to connect. We trust our creativity and our imagination in the face of challenges and once we see the development of the health situation and legal parameters, we will analyze the feasibility of being able to open in some way", signs Corraliza before the different headlines that have been published after Ferran Adria's statements in the Gastronomika Live last Tuesday, where he indicated that without tourism it is difficult to reopen Heart or any other business.
"While we are already imagining and designing new ideas for next year, in this uncertain season, as soon as we have more information, other scenarios will open up that will help us to see the possibilities of opening in another format and even the club only in addition to other new opportunities that we are already working on" says Corraliza who wants to find viability and commitment with the residents.
Heart Ibiza continues to work together with other leisure entrepreneurs and other sectors and institutions of the island to bet on the Ibiza brand and adapt quickly to the future to come. In fact, for several weeks the team has been designing online projects for this Month of May to collide music, art and gastronomy. A day with a solidarity purpose that aims to offer quality and a reflection on the future of leisure and entertainment
