If Together has gone? Maybe Solardo to replace (i know the 2 aren’t exactly the same genre)

At least it may get a few more people through the doors than they have been. It’s a start. In reality they need three or four new nights with good crowds to start being a contender again.

over the years it has always felt to me like there are two clubs too many on the island. For the last decade and a half it’s been Es Paradis and now it’s Amnesia too. That’s Is unfortunate as Amnesia is my favourite club. I hope it doesn’t stagnate for years like Ku.

Not my bag but I’m surprised to see Hi tuesdays break up. Thought it was meant to be packed out with low cost dj fees. Comparatively low door tax though and I bet the fees for camelphat and solardo have sky rocketed for this season.

You've probably hit the nail on the head. Tuesdays ar Hi have grown so successful that they don't need the now big name acts in both rooms. They can get away with 1 bigger name and 1 up and coming act.

I get the feeling that they can put whatever they like on at Hi and get a big crowd. Cream (with a horrible edm) soundtrack was it’s busiest for years there (in name only) and they ditched it. It would be nice to think they wanted to keep their own protégés Solardo and that they went for a better offer, just to show Pissenem et al they can’t have it all their own way. In reality they probably just laughed at solardo’s demands, waved them off and promoted Fisher to the first team.

Together has always bumped its numbers up by giving free entry to boat party ticket holders, but at the same time wont cost as much to run with less massive names on the bill.

I would agree Amnesia is at a turning point. Needs a strong and fresh lineup this year.

Precisely my thoughts - very interested to see how they programme their week for the new season with Pyramid now on Sundays and this potentially rumoured huge move.

IMO for the sake of the current Ibiza clubbing climate the island needs Amnesia to have a strong season - they need to be back to the top where they belong and save us all from the Hï/Ushüaia takeover!
 
Neil Evans ( Darious Syrossians manger ) has just started working at Amnesia now, Artistic Director or something like that

when you say biggest boys are you talking about Solardo or is Amnesia linked with someone else? I may of missed something

hopefully the famous old club has a brilliant season
 
If I was to believe every Amnesia rumour I've heard this off-season, then I envision a weekly programme like this:

Monday: tech house
Tuesday: tech house
Wednesday: tech house
Thursday: tech house
Friday: tech house
Saturday: tech house
Sunday: tech house with some techno

They need Paris Hilton like never before! For all her faults, she added some diversity, and filled the place to the rafters.
 
You know what - interesting one with Bodyworks - if Hi initiated the break up, fair play. Would have been easy to rest on their laurels for what was probably one of the consistently busy nights through the season last year.
