*** ibiza gossip 2019 ***

Only thing to get punters in is drink prices.. NO one really cares who's playing be it a house,techno or HS2:30... :) if the beer is flowing people will have a good time..
 
Now the New Year festivities are over - are there any rumors/gossip that can be shared? :)

Music On appearing to remain. Cocoon almost definitely on the move and nothing yet said about Solomun....

The fact that we have heard no rumours about Solomun, leads me to assume he’s staying at Pacha.

Afterlife is still the one that intrigues me the most. If Guetta moves to Hï (rumour) what does that mean for the TOU boys? Do they move days? But to what?

Rumour that Guetta would move to Hi on Fridays, as Glitterbox is confirmed for Sundays. So Afterlife may not be affected at all.

Yes that is the big question. Makes it a shorter turnaround if he stays at Ushuaia on Mondays. But can also see it being a bumper VIP revenue spinner for Hi with those weekend visitors added to the mix. Definitely a move where money will be the biggest factor!

I would normally agree with you RE Solomun, but I remember @stivi mentioning something about there being a specific reason that Glitterbox has moved to Sunday's. Is that a hint that Solomun is on the move from Pacha or that he remains and changes his night of the week (which I personally think is unlikely) or is that a hint about the now available Friday night slot at Hï?

So many unanswered questions - I can almost feel silly season ready to begin! :lol:
 
pacha can be good for tale of us, but ofcourse they will need to be very selective with the djs & the number of djs playing

although i didnt try cocoon @ pacha, as long as cocoon not @ amnesia for me the vibe is lost

cocoon @ destino will be a perfect fit if weekly day there, but again with very selective djs
 
Destino has a restricted number of parties every summer so I don't believe it's possible for Cocoon to run a weekly residency there.

My feeling is they have chosen their path at Hï now, and they want a night with lots of people and younger newer crowd. They now have the scale to sell big nights out e.g. Printworks London Etc. Do they care that they’ve lost locals and those of us that loved the parties 2016-17? Nope... and why should they?

Personally, I think this night is made for Amnesia in my opinion, but Hï seems to have the pull if you want a sizable number of Martin Garrix fans to walk across the road and discover you.

I always thought it was 10 BIG parties a season (excluding Sunday’s as the sound isn’t the full set-up). However, they seemed to have more than 10 last year... maybe not all the Thursdays were the full set-up.
 
cocoon daytime only at destino?! what a stupid thing to wish for. cocoon lost most of its unique vibe at pacha already, destino would do the rest.
for afters yes, but not for the real deal.
 
For once i’m not bothered about rumours. Cocoon closing (possible 4/5 day trip) and then a Dec trip is on the cards for us this year depending on funds:!:

Can only agree with this! Would be extremely disappointed if Cocoon went daytime only!! What would that mean for the closing … Main event at Destion then After Party at Pacha :spank:

Can not see this happening in a million year … but it is Ibiza after all
 
Daytime would work for its more melodic, lighter sound but the darker and harder side of Cocoon could never really be aired in that kind of format.

The marriage of the two is what makes Cocoon so special so a permanent residency at Destino is a non-starter IMO.

I don't agree with this and it also just contradicts itself. The vibe is lost as long as its not as amnesia but yet its perfect fit at destino??

I agree with the others I'd be really disappointed if cocoon went daytime only. I prefer my clubs nights (especially if it's techno) in a dark club and at night.

I thought the vibe at pacha was still good, infact i would go as far as to say it was better vibe than the last time I went on amesia terrace for cocoon as the terrace was a little empty .

amnesia & all other clubs are closed venues but destino is an open air

when i go to destino the high am expecting is different when am going to cocoon @ a closed venue

there is no any comparison between a closed venue & an open place especially in ibiza & the vibe destino gives & a closed venue such as amnesia give
