according by amnesia official music on closing party is 5 october

NO...it is the last music on party currently listed on both our website as well as theirs, but they have taken the 'closing party' mention off last week and so did we.
it's not out yet, but I think there might be one more music on date added soon.

think I've already mentioned this once somewhere and it's still not decided, but chances are big that pyramid will close on the 24th september and won't do their second closing party date on 1st october. I'll update as soon as it's been decided but thought I'd let you know that it is a possibility.

Hopefully the low attendances this year is a big kick up the hole for clubs and we see lower prices or drink prices next year.

Same for hotels etc

ticket prices are actually already a little lower than 2 years ago overall. but yeah, what needs to be tackled next is drinks prices inside the clubs and obviously accommodation needs to get real again with their pricing!!

Feels like we are in a decline music wise too. The island has benefited from the EDM boom from 2009/2010 onwards, but even the big artists in that scene are doing different styles now. Guetta's latest songs have been Pop, dubstep and reggaetton rather than out and out 'put your fffing hands up' bangers for example.

Trance is almost dead as a scene whereas 5 - 10 years ago Trance DJ's were headliners.

Reggaeton and R&B nights have increased and are filling some nights, but the crowds there aren't as big as say Tiesto at Privilege back in the day.

Also more and more festivals around Europe, and the rise of Croatia as a Dance music scene.

Agree that there needs to be a full rethink on prices of hotels and drinks though. I don't think the club tickets themselves are bad priced in comparison to other costs on the island.

it's not a decline but rather the world moving on. whether you like what's hot now is another question.

I do agree and it’s causing me to soul search (not the genre I hasten to add!)

As discussed elsewhere, I think what is in decline is the overground underground. That’s what appears to be irking me I think. Trance has all but disappeared, prog house has become tech house minus the ‘moments’, techno is seeing a sharp decline in numbers and variety and house seems to be stuck in the past. What we see in its place is edm, plodding go nowhere tech house and desert music. Sadly none of this is to my taste!

The underground going back to the underground is an interesting concept that you muted earlier. Can you see this actually happening without going too far up it’s own arse? Does the island have the infrastructure and legislation required to make it happen? Is there a genuine interest amongst established promoters?

also...for any late season visitors, I think heart will have events on sunday 13th and 20th october, even though their official summer closing party is on the 7th oct.

more when it's good to go!

amnesia have added the 'closing party' to the 5th october music on date again now so we have done the same now... :)
