Totally agree, which is why people (including you) are saying it's an odd fit in response to @mr_why who said he doesn't understand why people say this. For me the odd fit is a simple comparison between Len Faki's home (Berghain) which is just raw and real to Pacha which is a VIPtastic 'glamorous' money pot so I totally get why people are saying it. It's not to say Len Faki can't play smaller rooms or more intimate venues. Of course he can, he's a hugely talented and experienced spinner - it's the vibe of the club Vs his style which makes it odd. Be interesting to see how it goes down

Of course Pacha has to fill the dancefloor and the "tables", but IMO I think Maceo will be such a draw early on that both sections will be busy! I may be wrong, and you can shoot me down mid season if this is not that case! But I think that this night will go like Solomun did! When Solomun started at Pacha, like Maceo at that stage he had made a big name for himself in Ibiza, and in some ways that night was busier in the VIP section than on the dancefloor back in 2013 (not literally), but over the last 3 years the dancefloor has got busier and busier on that night. Solomun had many of the same DJs playing with him back in 2013, and most nights were busy, but I don't think a lot of people who prefer more underground music and who never usually go to Pacha got into that night until late 2014, and the last season (2015). This message board is an example of that!

I agree with mrwhy up to a certain degree. but there is one difference I think is important to point out. out of solomun's whole season line ups, a lot of the artists play a pretty accessible type of music if we're talking about the more underground side of electronica. you know, the innervisions crew, hosh, adriatique etc...and most importantly also solomun himself of course. personally I think this is where it's going to be interesting to see how tuesday nights will sound and if that will resonate with the crowd (no matter whether dancefloor or tables area).

Watch this space for more news. sounds as if they have, but 'intimate' indicates they probably will have downsized their ideas, planned capacity and sound levels somewhat. I might be totally wrong, but that's me reading between the lines...

maybe them changing their opening party date again, back to the originally planned one? I really don't know. but I'm sure we'll find out soon.

guys just to be sure, I really don't want to spread any rumours about that. but there isn't any artist announced yet for 14th may and suddenly we see stuff popping up online about artists being booked for amnesia on 28th may (on some bookers websites clearly marked as amnesia opening)...it's just pure guessing.

Appreciate some people want and probably booked up on the basis that initially it was for the 28th, and others, including myself have now booked up to be over on the weekend of the 14th for this event. One thing trying to be mysterious and build up interest in an event, but it's another thing when you start to mess punters about
