Until last summer I would have thought the same about Sven. But after that magical S+1, I pretty much think anything can go at pacha with the right crowd.

I'm not so sure. firstly, between what len plays and what sven plays there are still worlds. and second, len never has the same pull in terms of crowd here on the island. I'm not saying they shouldn't have done that, but it's definitely one of the weirdest bookings I've ever seen at pacha.

and just for the record, I really like len faki, just heard him two weeks ago at timewarp.

Talk in another thread on here discussed Beyer filling in for Cox on some Aug/Sept dates. Any truth to that? I'll be really bummed if he misses Aug. 30, seeing as we're flying in from the states (where he rarely plays these days) and really wanted to see him.

If memory serves me correct, Sven did play pretty hard at some point during that night. but yes, I didn't really consider what kind of pull these artists have on the island.
I like all of them, and hopefully they all get a Full house at Pacha.

I was there too and your memory does serve you right, he played a pretty banging set. and yet the style sven plays, even if it's one of his harder sets, is (at least in my opinion) still pretty different to what I've heard from len so far.

anyway, we'll see how this pans out. for now I am very positively surprised overall with the mosaic line ups. they've done a really good job I think and len's just the odd one out on there (and by no means I say this in a negative way).

Beyer said in his podcast that he's filling in for Cox on a date in early September. That's all he said.

I know we keep comparing this to Guy Gerber a few years back, but the long and short is MACEO has a much bigger pull, so while some of the artists he has chosen are left-field, it's Maceo's name that will pull punters in. Gerber (who I adore) doesn't have the pulling power to fill a club with 3,000 people for 20 weeks long! (Maceo Does)
 
I reached out to someone with the Revolution party and they confirmed 8/30 is the date Cox isn't playing. Maybe Beyer was off by a few days?
 
Also, in terms of pulling crowds, Len Faki is at least a well known name, for quite some time now.
There are other artists on that roster (which I also like very much), but are relatively new names.
I mean, how many people outside of Berlin/Amsterdam, besides the real music heads know who Matrixxman is? or Dekmantel soundsystem and Fatima Yamaha?
 
len faki's is good for his crowd. his music is very opposite to pacha.

same as klock dettmann etc.

i would go to him at enter amnesias main room that places would fit him good

I get what people are saying, and maybe it's because I spend too much time in Fabric London over the years and am more used to seeing these type of DJs in the smaller Room 1 or 2 at Fabric. But never quite get why people always say that X or Y DJ will only work in Amnesia Main Room, or Space Discoteca Room etc. These guys do play smaller more intimate places a lot of the time! I mean Beyer in Fabric Room 1 is suburb! Klock, Dettmann also play those same rooms...

Was literally going to ask the question as to why certain dj's wouldn't suite room x at club x
 
What is the event being announced at Amnesia on Saturday 28th? I've seen Apollonia confirmed and that is someone who I was really hoping to see out there over that weekend!

Tbh, if you are going to start being picky about where is the best venue to see Klock, Dettman & Faki, just go to Berghain.
I'm the same way with insisting on going to see Coxy ay Space.

Yeah, saw this too! Is this an "Opening Part 2".......... somewhere for everyone to go after Ushuaia Opening!
