Drumcode Thursdays at Space sounds good to me. Any chance of it happening, Stivi?

Stivi - on this Space Thursdays thing; is Mark B involved in it anywhere?

broadbent you mean? if so, no.[/QUOTE]

Yeah i did mean Mark Broadbent. I was hoping he would be back in some capacity for the last year.....

ok so back to closing parties 2016...

NONE OF THIS IS CONFIRMED - IT'S STILL ALL RUMOURS AND ASSUMPTIONS...

I'm still fairly convinced the closings will spread over two weekends this season - and I actually like the idea.

currently it looks as things *might* go like this:

sat 1st oct USHUAÏA CLOSING
sun 2nd oct SPACE CLOSING

sat 8th oct AMNESIA CLOSING (well into 9th october of course)
sun 9th oct SOLOMUN+1 CLOSING (always sort of the official pacha summer closing)
mon 10th oct DC10 CLOSING

of course these aren't the only ones, say on mon 3rd october there's a normal dc10 session plus in the week other promoter closing parties etc. don't take this as gospel please, but just to repeat that this season the big club closings might spread over two weekends.

So you think there is a chance of space doing 2 weekend Closings such as 2&9th October or it will be one or the other?

definitely one or the other. would make absolutely no sense to dilute their closing party. it'll be one big last bash.

think it is on.......!!!!

they are a label that can easily do a multi room venue/night

Im not 100% of that but I'll continue on with the guessing and say maybe a Drumcode main room and Do Not Sleep terrace link up. Established label with an up and coming party from last year would think can definitely fill the club especially in its last year. It would also be a good variation, they can even flip rooms everyone once in awhile if Adam feels like playing his easy listening sets he does ever so often.

I still think a lot of people underestimate just how difficult it is to make a 15-20 week residency in Ibiza work. I'm no expert but for example..... Is Drumcode a brilliant label and is Adam Beyer a top class DJ? Yes. But headlining a weekly party, getting other DJs to play that are probably locked into other contracts, having the competition of other Ibiza nights etc. That's damn hard and the likes of Sven, Coxy etc have to work damn hard for years to get that kind of weekly pull.

Completely valid point, but if Martin Solveig can do it, Adam Beyer can likely do it. Sven and Carl Cox are some of the biggest names in the entire industry regardless of genre. Carl will be gone after this year, eventually new parties will have to step up, whether they all succeed is a different story. For me, to be honest, Drumcode has gotten a little stale recently. But their parties constantly sell out worldwide, so I think if anyone being discussed can do it, it would probably be Adam and Friends.

I like this idea... But as has been said for at least the last 2 years... There's too many similar parties... some restraint is needed... Then see what happens next year when cox has finished/space changes

That being said the Enter void to fill on Thursday will appeal as probably not a whole lot of competition (?)

Drumcode is just not exciting. I feel like some sort of new concept needs to be done there (or elsewhere on the island for a matter of fact). Something like how Enter was when it first hit the scene. Could see Innervisions doing something that would blow everyone away, or some sort of festival type party like that has been rumored.

Innervisions dont like fleecing the people so I can't see that happening. .it will just be one of the usual suspects thats been knocking on the door for a while now.:)
